    Abstract: This invention provides an industrial cassette recorder including mechanisms for removing a cassette undamaged in the event of the failure of an electrical supply. The remaining mechanism automatically moves a cassette from a loading position to an unloaded position and releases a pinch roller. An electric motor is utilized as a generator to facilitate take up of slack tape.
