  • Patent number: 11424014
Abstract: In one embodiment, one or more non-transitory, computer-readable mediums store computer instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to receive inputs from one or more request sources. The inputs include user credentials to an electronic medical record (EMR) source provider system. The computer instructions, when executed by the processor, also cause the processor to validate the credentials via communication with the EMR source provider system without an external authorization process, retrieve one or more EMRs from the EMR source provider system after the credentials are validated by the EMR source provider system, and store the one or more EMRs in a single data repository.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 6, 2020
Date of Patent: August 23, 2022
Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)
Inventors: Steven K. Dunlap, Michael Belko, Sharon Kay Haverlah, Wesley Allen Arnold

  • Patent number: 8396723
Abstract: Systems and methods for gathering information for insurance underwriting may present a question from a sequence of questions. Questions in the sequence of questions may relate to an insurance underwriting function. A response to the question may be collected and analyzed. An investigative function may be selected based upon the analysis of the response to the question. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 8239249
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for automatically allocating work projects to personnel based on work complexity level and level of knowledge and experience of the personnel. In one implementation, the methods and systems provide a work allocation tool that allows a user to input the level of complexity of the work projects according to one or more predefined criteria. The work allocation tool then automatically determines which of the available personnel has the required level of knowledge and experience to complete the work projects. Personnel who have already exceeded a target number or percentage of work projects in a given time period may be automatically excluded from the allocation. The work allocation tool thereafter randomly selects one of the available personnel and automatically allocates the work projects. An administrator interface allows a manager to define each person's target numbers or percentages and to stop further allocations if needed.
