    Abstract: A wound monitoring and/or therapy apparatus can include multiple sensor circuits, a selection circuit coupled to each sensor circuit, and a processor configured to be in communication with the selection circuit. Each sensor circuit can process multiple sensor signals to generate a single output signal from the multiple sensor signals. Each of the sensor signals can correspond to a measurement of a sensor positioned on a substrate that is configured to be positioned at least partially in a wound. The selection circuit can receive the single output signals from the sensor circuits and outputs a selected single output signal. The processor can receive the selected single output signal and decomposes the selected signal output signal into the multiple sensor signals used to generate the selected single output signal. The processor can activate sensors and receive sensor data from the sensors. The processor can digitize the sensor data and transmit the digitized sensor data to a remote controller.

The excitation pads can be connected to an electronic circuit that communicates the excitation signal to the excitation pads. The system can include a measurement sensor that can measure voltage of the tissue. The system can include a controller that can determine impedance of the tissue. The controller can be in communication with the excitation pads, the electronic circuit, and the measurement sensor. The controller can generate the excitation signal. The controller can obtain a current measurement of the excitation signal after it has been communicated through at least a portion of the electronic circuit. The current measurement can correspond to the excitation signal before it is applied to the tissue. The controller can determine impedance of the tissue based on the voltage measurement and the current measurement of the excitation signal.

    Abstract: A hoisting member for an elevator system includes a core having strength components embedded in a matrix material. A coating can surround the core to protect the core and control the coefficient of friction of the outer surface based on a range of desired friction properties to prevent or inhibit slippage of the hoisting member when used in a traction elevator system. The strength components may be made from carbon nanotube material with the matrix material made from a polymer material. The hoisting member may also include other conductive material or fiber optic material. The hoisting member may also serve as the trailing cable in an elevator system. In doing so the hosting member transmits power and data between the elevator car and the elevator controller thereby eliminating the need for a traditional trailing cable.

The check valve has a top mounted access port and aperture allowing for direct above ground servicing access to both the clapper inside the valve and has a removable clapper and access port for servicing the outlet pipe. The float style pneumatic valve is also top mounted for ease of service and removal and is remotely positioned from the outlet pipe to allow for removal of the valve for flushing of the debris from the blow case.

The software includes computer-readable instructions executable by the processor to: (a) implement an auction-based scheduling algorithm; (b) determine an identity of the passenger; (c) receive from the destination dispatch module the optimal elevator for the passenger; and (d) activate the propelling device to cause the guide robot to move and physically guide the passenger to the optimal elevator.

    Abstract: An elevator machine lifting assembly constructed in accordance to one example of the present disclosure includes a guide assembly, a frame assembly and a first jack assembly. The guide assembly include a guide base that supports the elevator machine and at least one roller. The frame assembly has a first vertical support member and a first baseplate. The first vertical support member provides a first track that receives the at least one roller thereon. The first jack assembly has a first lifting member that selectively moves relative to a first vertical column between a first position and a second position, the second position having a higher elevation than the first position. Movement of the lifting member from the first position to the second position causes the guide base and elevator machine to be raised relative to the frame assembly while the at least one roller rolls along the first track.

    Abstract: A hydraulic elevator system is operable to selectively raise and lower an elevator car. The system raises and lowers the elevator car by actuating a hydraulic jack. The system retracts a hydraulic jack that is fixed to an upper portion of the hoistway by pressurizing hydraulic fluid within the hydraulic jack via a hydraulic fluid pump. When retracting the hydraulic jack the elevator car travels upward. An accumulator usable with the system is operable to store energy during the downward travel of the elevator car for later use during the upward travel of the elevator car.

    Abstract: A system for determining tension in a suspended rope includes an acceleration measuring device for measuring the acceleration of rope movement and an adapter for attaching the acceleration measuring device to the suspended rope. The system optionally includes a user device communicatively coupled to the acceleration measuring device. The user device computes rope tension based on the measured acceleration. The acceleration measuring device and user device can be combined into a single smart device. Examples of the system can accurately determine the tension in ropes used to suspend an elevator cabin, allowing a field technician to tighten the ropes to equal tension and to determine the weight of the cabin. In turn, a smoother and more secure operation of the elevator can be achieved.
