  • Patent number: 11921198
Abstract: An apparatus determines a spatial position of an audio source in multi moving audio sources scenarios. The apparatus receives audio signal versions as local sound waves. The apparatus determines first and second probabilities for a direction of arrival of the audio signal version based on the audio signal versions received within a first time interval; determines third and fourth probabilities for the direction of arrival of the audio signal version based on the audio signal versions received within a second time interval; determines a first probability difference between the first and third probabilities; determines a second probability difference between the second and fourth probabilities; combines the third probability and the first probability difference to obtain an updated third probability; combines the fourth probability with the second probability difference to obtain an updated fourth probability; and determines the spatial position based on the updated third and fourth probabilities.

  • Patent number: 9566578
Abstract: A method for regenerating deactivated acidic ionic liquid is described. The method involves reducing a level of free hydrochloric acid in the deactivated acidic ionic liquid in a removal zone using at least one of heat, a stripping fluid, reduced pressure, and liquid-liquid extraction to form a deactivated acidic ionic liquid having a reduced level of free hydrochloric acid; and regenerating the deactivated acidic ionic liquid having the reduced level of free hydrochloric acid.

  • Patent number: 9399281
Abstract: A follower assembly includes a follower mounted on an axle with the axle being coupled to a carrier that is pivotable relative to the frame about a pivot axis. The follower assembly has a locked position in which the pivot axis and axle are positioned relative to each other in a locked over-center position. In the locked over-center position the driver is pinched between the follower assembly and the flywheel subjecting the driver to a pinch force when the driver is in the stall position. When the driver is in the stall position and the follower assembly is in the locked over-center position, pivotal movement of a stall release lever toward the release position forces the follower assembly out of the locked over-center position toward the reverse over-center position in which the relative positions of the pivot axis and axle are reversed and the pinch force is released.

  • Patent number: 9346158
Abstract: A flywheel-driven tool includes a ferromagnetic driver. The driver has a firing position in which the driver is drivingly engaged against the flywheel. The driver also has a home position radially further away from the flywheel than the firing position when the flywheel is spinning in preparation to firing the driver. A magnet is positioned adjacent the driver to exert a magnetic force on the driver to pull the driver into the home position.

  • Patent number: 9216502
Abstract: Compression return springs can be mounted on rails between the driver and an impact absorber. The springs include a plurality of wires twisted together to form a multi-stranded twisted wire member, which forms the coils of the spring. The springs can have an inner diameter that resists movement of the coils along the rails when the spring is at its free length, but has a mounted inner diameter that freely allows such movement. The coil-to-coil pitch of the spring can vary along its length. A motor initially rotates the flywheel without engaging the driver. The driver then contacts the rotating flywheel to propel the driver, which compresses the return springs against the impact absorbers as the driver travels from the returned position to the extended position.

  • Patent number: 9152765
Abstract: The present specification discloses systems and methods for patient monitoring using a multitude of display regions, at least two of which have the capability to simultaneously display real time patient waveforms and vital statistics as well as provide display for local and remote software applications. In one example, a primary display shows real time patient waveforms and vital statistics while a customizable secondary display shows trends, cumulative data, laboratory and radiology reports, protocols, and similar clinical information. Additionally, the secondary display can launch local and remote applications such as entertainment software, Internet and email programs, patient education software, and video conferencing applications. The dual display allows caregivers to simultaneously view real time patient vitals and aggregated data or therapy protocols, thereby increasing hospital personnel efficiency and improving treatment, while not compromising the display of critical alarms or other data.
