  • Publication number: 20090049956
Abstract: Useful by both individuals and bartending ‘mixologists’, a convenient beverage-bottle cap pry-opener is adapted to user's wrist, thereby facilitating a uniquely simple and ergonomically comfortable wrist-twist action by which to attain quick and easy opening without use of one's hands; and is portably worn upon the person in the form of either a bracelet or glovelet embodiment. The glovelet is preferably of conventional open-fingered style, having an integral wrist-band thereto which wraps around the wrist where it is secured via conventional hook-&-loop fastener; while arranged at the distal-end of the wrist-strap is a substantially conventional metal bottle-cap opener device.

  • Patent number: 7179204
Abstract: An exercise treadmill is disclosed which includes various features to enhance user operation and to reduce maintenance costs. These features include handlebars with an upwardly curved center section and outwardly flared side portions along with pivoting rear legs for the treadmill frame. The control panel features include snap-in user trays and an overlay covering the numerical key pad along with an auxiliary control panel having a subset of user controls that are larger and more easy to use than the same controls on the main control panel. Maintenance enhancing features include the provision for access panels in the treadmill housing and a belt lubrication system that uses a priming pulse to clear the wax spraying nozzle along with using treadmill operating criteria for scheduling and operating the lubrication system. For injection molded parts such as the control panel, structural strength is enhanced by utilizing gas-assist injection molding to form structural ribs.

  • Patent number: 4878368
Abstract: A refrigerator cabinet has a front flange, which as a gasket on its door seal thereagainst when the door is closed, formed by a plurality of longitudinally spaced sets of rollers of a roll forming machine so that the front flange is at a specific angular relation to a top wall of the refrigerator cabinet when the roll formed part is fabricated into a portion of the refrigerator cabinet. The angular relationship of the flange and the top wall of the refrigerator cabinet is determined at a first fabrication station of a roll formed part, which forms a portion of the refrigerator cabinet after fabrication, by two linear variable differential transformers engaging each of the two adjacent surfaces of the roll formed part that will constitute the front flange and the top wall of the refrigerator cabinet and transmitting signals indicating the angle therebetween to a personal computer.

  • Patent number: 4727320
Abstract: A method for testing motors having separate run and start windings to verify correct motor size and to detect miswiring of the motor windings comprises the steps of measuring the start winding resistance, measuring the run winding resistance, calculating a ratio of the start winding and run winding resistances and comparing the calculated ratio to a predetermined range representative of the desired motor size when correctly wired and rejecting the motor if the calculated ratio does not come within this predetermined range, and apparatus for same.

  • Patent number: 4373351
Abstract: A microprocessor based control for a heat pump system providing at least two setback temperature settings individually selected by the system user to be effective during different time periods of the day, also individually selectable by the user. In the event of conflicting setback temperature settings during an overlap in the selected time periods, the microprocessor is programmed to implement the setback temperature that provides the most energy efficient operation of the system. Additionally, the microprocessor automatically assures that any setback temperature settings are at least a minimum temperature differential away from the normal temperature setting in the more energy efficient direction. This override provision is effective whether the invalid setback temperature settings are initially inserted by the user or are the result of a subsequent change in the normal temperature setting.
