  • Publication number: 20190242730
Abstract: Various examples are directed to methods and system of managing a sensor. A measurement system may receive from the host device, a first register map describing a first configuration of the measurement system for the first sensor. The first configuration may indicate a first measurement frequency for the first sensor. The measurement system may configure a switch matrix to provide a first excitation signal to the first sensor. The measurement system may configure the switch matrix to connect an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) of the measurement system to the first sensor. The measurement system may sample a first raw sensor signal from the first sensor with the ADC at a first measurement frequency described by the first configuration. The measurement system may generate first digital measurement data based at least in part on the first raw sensor signal and send the first digital measurement data to the host device.

  • Publication number: 20190242729
Abstract: Various examples are directed to systems and methods for managing a sensor. A measurement system may receive, from a host device, a first register map describing a first configuration of a measurement system. The first configuration may be associated with a first sensor. The measurement system may compare the first register map to an error rule set indicating inconsistent register map arrangements. After comparing the first register map to the error rule set, the measurement system may configure a switch matrix of the measurement system to sample the first sensor according to the first configuration of the measurement TO system. The measurement system may receive a plurality of samples from a first sensor and generate first digital measurement data based at least in part on the plurality of samples.

  • Publication number: 20190141900
Abstract: Heart of palm may be harvested from palm trees as a source of food. The core of a heart of palm heart is more desirable than the base of the palm heart due to its more favorable characteristics, resulting in under-utilization and waste of the base. The base and core may be processed in ways that advantageously utilize the base and overcome differences in density and inherent taste properties between the two sections. In an example, the base is treated with a cleaning solution and pieces are formed from the base. In this example, the pieces are immersed in an acid solution and packaged in an oxygen-impermeable packaging medium. The resulting heart of palm base pieces have favorable taste and mouthfeel and the pieces derived from the base are indistinguishable from pieces derived from the core.

  • Patent number: 10278495
Abstract: A swing stool table kit has components to form a swing stool table. The swing stool table has a table top and pairs of swing stools on opposite sides of the table top. The swing stools swing out for a person to sit on and swing in for storage. The swing stools are made from light weight cast aluminum so that the overall weight of the kit is low. The table has footplates that extend out beyond the edge of the table but not beyond the swing stools when they are swung out so that the table will not tip over when heavier than average people all sit on one side of the table and no one sits on the other side of the table.

  • Publication number: 20190071583
Abstract: The present invention provides methods, processes, and systems for the manufacture of three-dimensional articles made of polymers using 3D printing. A layer of prepolymer is deposited on a build plate to form a powder bed. The deposited powder bed is heated to about 50° C. to about 170° C. Then, a solution of activating agent is printed on the powder bed in a predetermined pattern, and a stimulus is applied converting the prepolymer to the final polymer. After a predetermined period of time, sequential layers are printed to provide the three-dimensional article. The three-dimensional object can be cured to produce the three-dimensional article composed of the final polymers.

  • Patent number: 10174150
Abstract: A one-part moisture-curing liquid-applied waterproofing membrane as disclosed includes a polyurethane polymer obtained from at least one polyether polyol and at least one diisocyanate, and an aldimine of the formula (I). The membrane has a long shelf life stability with both aromatic and aliphatic isocyanates, a low viscosity at low solvent content, a sufficiently long open time to allow hand application and cures fast to a solid elastic material of high strength and high elongation. The released aldehyde is non-toxic and low flammable and evaporates quickly out of the membrane causing only minimal odor emission. The membrane has high crack-bridging qualities in a broad temperature range and is easily overcoatable without interlayer adhesion problems, which makes it particularly suitable for roofing applications.

  • Patent number: 9928752
Abstract: A social choice engine is disclosed for eliciting and receiving responses to questions or issues and ranking the responses using the Borda ranking system. The social choice engine provides a user interface to a survey administrator that allows for the defining of the social choice survey. The social choice engine also provides a pick list of possible participants, where the possible participants are members of an online community. To administer the social choice survey, the social choice engine sends electronic notifications to selected participants. The participants respond to the social choice survey through a user interface that includes interactive features. The results of the social choice survey are then displayed to the survey administrator.
