  • Patent number: 12008825
Abstract: An image-based classification workflow uses unsupervised clustering to help a user identify subpopulations of interest for sorting. Labeled cell images are used to fine-tune the supervised classification network for a specific experiment. The workflow allows the user to select the populations to sort in the same manner for a variety of applications. The supervised classification network is very fast, allowing it to make real-time sort decisions as the cell travels through a device. The workflow is more automated and has fewer user steps, which improves the ease of use. The workflow uses machine learning to avoid human error and bias from manual gating. The workflow does not require the user to be an expert in image processing, thus increasing the ease of use.

  • Patent number: 12008568
Abstract: An example method includes receiving an encrypted biometric enrollment data and user identifier data. The encrypted biometric enrollment data includes at least one biometric enrollment sample from a user encrypted using an encryption key. The encryption key is generated based on a user secret and the user identifier is associated with the user. The user identifier is matched with a stored user secret. A decryption key is generated based on the stored user secret. The encrypted biometric enrollment data is decrypted using the decryption key. The at least one biometric enrollment sample is retrieved from the decrypted biometric enrollment data. The at least one biometric enrollment sample is processed using a biometric processing algorithm to generate a biometric reference template. A biometric reference template identifier uniquely identifying the biometric reference template is generated. An encryption key is generated based on the stored user secret and encrypts an enrollment confirmation message.

  • Publication number: 20240173169
Abstract: The present technology is directed to adjustable shunting systems for draining fluid from a first body region to a second body region, and can include a shunting element, an aperture in the shunting element, and an actuator for selectively controlling the flow of fluid through the aperture. The actuator can include a gating element moveable between a first position in which it does not substantially interfere with fluid flow through the aperture and a second position in which it at least partially blocks fluid flow through the aperture, and a shape memory actuation element configured to move the gating element from the first position to and/or toward the second position when actuated. The system can further include a friction element configured to frictionally engage the gating element to releasably retain the gating element at and/or proximate the second position following actuation of the shape memory actuation element.

  • Publication number: 20240177397
Abstract: Methods and systems are described that use a three-dimensional (3D) model of a dental site to generate a panoramic two-dimensional (2D) image of the dental site. In one example, a method includes receiving a 3D model of the dental site generated at least in part from an intraoral scan, generating a surface shaped to substantially surround a dental arch represented by the dental site, computing a surface projection by projecting the dental site onto the surface, and generating the panoramic 2D image from the surface projection.

  • Publication number: 20240177504
Abstract: The single cell identification described herein utilizes cell image information and extracts cell features with a neural network model to subtly distinguish the noise events from single cells, allowing the user to choose which different types of noise events to exclude depending on the requirement of applications. The fast neural network model is able to extract more abundant and specific cell features than handpicked features, which enables the model to be equipped with higher accuracy and higher discriminative capability of distinguishing noise events and identifying the single cells in real-time. Utilization of a neural network model for real-time single cell identification represents a novel technique never applied before. It allows high discriminative capability and high accuracy compared to traditional FACS (Fluorescence-activated Cell Sorting).

  • Publication number: 20240159956
Abstract: In some embodiments, a head-mounted, near-eye display system comprises a stack of waveguides having integral spacers separating the waveguides. The waveguides may each include diffractive optical elements that are formed simultaneously with the spacers by imprinting. The spacers are disposed on one major surface of each of the waveguides and indentations are provided on an opposite major surface of each of the waveguides. The indentations are sized and positioned to align with the spacers, thereby forming a self-aligned stack of waveguides. Tops of the spacers may be provided with light scattering features, anti-reflective coatings, and/or light absorbing adhesive to prevent light leakage between the waveguides. As seen in a top-down view, the spacers may be elongated along the same axis as the diffractive optical elements. The waveguides may include structures (e.g.

  • Patent number: 11979471
Abstract: A push gateway brokers messages between backend services and client devices connected to the gateway. The gateway includes a plurality of messaging frontend servers, a messaging database, and a plurality of topic servers. The messaging frontend servers manage the socket connections connecting the client devices to the push gateway. The messaging frontend servers may further monitor the socket connections, collecting analytical data on the client devices and the connections. The messaging database is a key-value database that subscribes messaging frontend servers to topics. The topic servers receive publish requests from the backend servers to identify subscribed messaging frontend servers in the messaging database to push messages out to. • Publication number: 20240129573
Abstract: A processing system receives a user-generated media recording, and metadata associated with the user-generated feedback, from a first device. The user-generated media recording is a recording of the public end-user captured during a live media broadcast using a public-user interface on the first device. The metadata includes information linking the user-generated media recording to the live media broadcast. The system stores the user-generated media recording and the first metadata in one or more storage devices, and transmits a version of the user-generated media recording and at least a portion of the first metadata to a private-user interface on a second device. The private-user interface is configured to receive input from a private end-user selecting the version of the user-generated media recording for broadcast during the same live media broadcast during which the user-generated media recording was created.

  • Publication number: 20240077781
Abstract: Conventional high performance computer connections are electron-based systems, which require the memory packages to be as close as mechanically possible to the computation engine. Low power and high bandwidth communication, e.g. photonic, links can drastically change the architecture of high-performance computers by eliminating the bottlenecks in communication and augment existing memory systems to allow them to be both high capacity and high bandwidth simultaneously.
