  • Publication number: 20190121813
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to improved searching that bidirectionally matches users using the power of the blockchain. The embodiments include methods that, for each user of a platform, configure: (i) a set of attributes and attribute values and (ii) parameters defining filtering of the user or attribute values from search results. The methods allocate a repository for each user in a memory pool (e.g., blockchain) coupled to the platform to store the configured user data. The methods enable a querying user to input a search query and formulate an execution query by determining attributes stored in the memory pool relevant to the inputted search query. The methods run the execution query to generate a list of users matching the determined relevant attribute. The methods then filter users from the generated list based on the users' defined filter parameters or automated filtering models, and return the filtered list to the querying user.

  • Patent number: 10171786
Abstract: This disclosure pertains to systems, methods, and computer readable media for performing lens shading correction (LSC) operations that modulate gains based on scene lux level and lens focus distance. These gains compensate for both color lens shading (i.e., the deviation between R, G, and B channels) and vignetting (i.e., the drop off in pixel intensity around the edges of an image). As scene illuminance increases, the sensor captures more signal from the actual scene, and the lens shading effects begin to appear. To deal with the situation, the lens shading gains are configured to adaptively ‘scale down’ when scene lux approaches zero and ‘scale up’ when scene lux changes from near zero to become larger. The lens shading gain may also be modulated based on the focus distance. For optical systems without zoom, the inventors have discovered that the amount of lens shading fall off changes as focus distance changes.

  • Patent number: 10135834
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to improving social network applications using the power of the blockchain (or other repository of facts as a service). The embodiments include methods and systems that register users with a social network application coupled to the blockchain, including providing respective user identifiers recorded in the blockchain. The methods and systems, for each user, configure a set of verification parameters enabled to filter the participation of the respective user identifier in operations. The methods and systems initiate, by a querying user, an operation that causes the social network application to: (a) query the blockchain to locate attested-to facts specific to user identifiers of the registered users and (b) filter participation of at least one user identifier in the operation based on the attested-to facts meeting the verification parameters.

  • Publication number: 20180267951
Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamically assessing and displaying quality features of electronic messages, while composed on client devices, can include one or more processors monitoring the process of composing the electronic message. The one or more processors can retrieve, upon detecting a pause event, data associated with the composed electronic message from a message composing container, and determine a plurality of feature values for a plurality of features of the electronic message based on the retrieved data. The one or more processors can determine, based on the plurality of feature values, a likelihood of receiving a response from a receiving entity once the electronic message is sent to that receiving entity. The one or more processors can provide an indication of the determined likelihood of receiving a response and indications of the plurality of determined feature values for display in association with a message composing window displaying the text received.

  • Publication number: 20180225007
Abstract: Systems and methods for tracking using a tracking camera. For each frame of image data generated by the tracking camera, each blob of the frame is determined. For each determined blob, a 2D image coordinate of a centroid of the blob is determined in a coordinate space of the frame. A tracking system processor generates a first tag identifier from the determined 2D image coordinates. The tracking system processor uses the first tag identifier to access stored first tag information that is stored in association with the first tag identifier. The tracking system processor determines an absolute 3-space position and orientation of the tracking camera by performing a motion tracking process using the determined 2D image coordinates and the accessed first tag information.

  • Patent number: 9996311
Abstract: System, method, and computer product embodiments for efficiently casting interactively-controlled visual content displayed on a first display screen to a second display screen. In an embodiment, the computing device sends the visual content displayed on the first display screen to a multimedia device for displaying on the second display screen. Upon receipt of an instruction that visually manipulates how the visual content is displayed on the first display screen, the computing device generates a command representative of the received instruction. The command may specify a positional relationship between the center of the first display screen and the visual content displayed on the first display screen. Then, the computing devices sends the command to the multimedia device that causes the second display screen to display the visual content according to the positional relationship.

  • Publication number: 20170289246
Abstract: Described are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method, or computer program product embodiments for controlling streaming of media content. An embodiment operates by halting a presentation of future content from a buffer upon determining that the buffer is exhausted of content to present. The embodiment includes receiving one or more packets over a network connection, the one or more packets including media information corresponding to a first portion of streaming media content, in which the first portion corresponds to a second portion of the streaming media content. The one or more packets in a buffer are stored as buffered content. Responsive to determining that the network connection is not experiencing a burst condition, the buffer is trimmed. Then, presentation of buffered content is resumed and the first portion is caused to be presented in sync with the second portion.

  • Publication number: 20170270848
Abstract: System, method, and computer product embodiments for controlling a display device's display settings from a computing device's touch-based user interface are described. In an embodiment, the computing device establishes a wireless connectivity with the display device. The computing device sends a command generated to query information related to the display setting. Then, the computing device receives the queried information from the display device. The computing device configures a graphical user interface (GUI) with the queried information to display configurations of the display settings on the touchscreen. The configurations include the display settings currently configured in the display device. The computing device further enables, within GUI, a displayed configuration from the display configurations to be calibrated by one or more touch gestures on the touchscreen.
