  • Publication number: 20240092350
Abstract: Techniques for validating or determining trajectories for a vehicle are discussed herein. A trajectory management component can receive status and/or error data from other safety system components and select or otherwise determine safe and valid vehicle trajectories. A perception component of a safety system can validate a trajectory upon which the trajectory management component can wait for selecting a vehicle trajectory, validate trajectories stored in a queue, and/or utilize kinematics for validation of trajectories. A filter component of the safety system can filter out objects based on trajectories stored in a queue. A collision detection component of the safety system can determine the collision states based on trajectories stored in a queue or determine a collision state upon which the trajectory management component can wait for selecting or otherwise determining a vehicle trajectory.

  • Patent number: 10132045
Abstract: A traction assist device for mobilizing vehicles stuck in surfaces such as snow and ice includes a panel that has a top face, which is coarse. The panel is flexible, such that the panel is manipulable from an extended configuration into a rolled configuration. A plurality of grasps is coupled to and extends transversely from a bottom face of the panel. The grasps are configured to penetrate into surfaces, such as snow and ice, when the panel is positioned on the surface and a tire of a vehicle is positioned on the top face of the panel. The grasps retain the panel in a fixed position. The top face of the panel is configured to grip the tire, such that traction is supplied of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10040564
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing an input device are provided. One example aspect of the present disclosure is directed to a method for managing an input device for an aerial vehicle. The method includes determining, by one or more controllers, whether a signal from the input device is indeterminate for more than a first threshold period of time. When the signal from the input device is indeterminate for more than the first threshold period of time, the method continues. The method includes determining, by the one or more controllers, a last valid signal from the input device. When the last valid signal from the input device is ON, the method includes determining, by the one or more controllers, whether a high pressure shut-off valve (HPSOV) is closed within a second threshold period of time. When the last valid signal from the input device is ON and when the HPSOV is closed, the method includes changing a position of the input device in a logic of the one or more controllers.

  • Publication number: 20070143237
Abstract: A technique is provided for resolving a reportable condition. Upon detection of a reportable condition on a processor-based medical system, machine data is provided to a knowledge engine. One or more identified solutions are received from the knowledge engine and implemented on the processor-based medical system. The one or more solutions are verified as they are implemented to determine if the currently implemented solution resolves the reportable condition. Routines implementing some or all of the technique may be provided on a processor-based system or on a machine-readable medium.

  • Publication number: 20050213599
Abstract: A distributed LAN bridging system and method for use with an IP network. A wide area network (WAN), or public network, such as the Internet, including a DVB-RCS satellite network, is used to transport encapsulated private data between distributed local area networks (LANs). In an exemplary embodiment, a source local area network (LAN) is coupled by way of a data encapsulating device to the WAN. The data encapsulating device is used to encapsulate data derived from the source LAN. A destination local area network (LAN) is coupled by way of a de-encapsulating device to the WAN. The de-encapsulating device is used to de-encapsulate data transmitted over the WAN. The distributed LAN bridging system and method captures and encapsulates LAN traffic (data), transports this traffic over a WAN, and de-encapsulates and transmits such de-encapsulated data to another LAN, and wherein the LANs are connectable at any point in the IP network. Distributed LAN bridging processes are also disclosed.
