  • Publication number: 20220008172
Abstract: Dental implants may be designed using a three-dimensional scan of an extracted tooth root and/or a corresponding socket site. The dental implant may include a root portion designed to sit below the patient's gum line, a connector portion positioned above the root portion and designed to sit above a rim of a socket site and/or gum line, and an abutment portion positioned above the connector portion upon which a crown may be placed. The root portion may include three sections that correspond to three areas of a three-dimensional scan of an extracted tooth root. The first and third sections of the implant may have a size and shape that corresponds to a first and third portions of the three-dimensional scan, respectively. A circumference of the second section of the implant may be smaller than a corresponding circumference of the second section of the three-dimensional scan of the tooth root.

  • Patent number: 11214915
Abstract: A collar compression system is configured to press a shirt collar and restore the collar to its store-bought form. The open triangle press body is placed on the inside of the shirt collar. The open triangle press body can be made of plastic to hold the shape of the collar. The three separate press members are also made of plastic. One press member is located on the left, right and rear side of the open triangle body. In this embodiment, the living hinge may be made of plastic, metal, or a combination of both. The living hinges connect the press members to the open triangle press body. In one operation, the open triangle press body can be placed on the inside of the collar and the three press members may be placed over the top of the collar to compress the collar, which shapes the collar to its pressed form.

  • Patent number: 11200755
Abstract: Systems and methods for pairing for-hire vehicles with their associated medallion are disclosed. Some for-hire vehicles, such as taxis operate with a for-hire vehicle meter (taximeter). In some embodiments, the meter contains an identifier of a medallion that is associated with the meter. The meter may then determine if it is connected or properly associated with the medallion. If the meter is connected or properly associated with the medallion, it will then access the identification information of the medallion and determine if identification information matches its contained medallion identifier. If the identification information does not match, the meter may shut down and thereafter be non-engageable. The relationship between the medallion and the meter is advantageously used to enforce restrictions on the operation of the for-hire vehicle including, for example, time and location of pick-up restrictions.

  • Patent number: 10999132
Abstract: Technologies are provided for identifying problems with network monitoring agents. For example, a network monitoring agent that is experiencing network packet loss can be examined to determine if it is degraded. For example, metrics can be obtained that are associated with the network monitoring agent. The obtained metrics can then be evaluated against thresholds. For example, if a high confidence metric is outside of a threshold for the high confidence metric, then a determination can be made that the network monitoring agent is degraded. As another example, if two low confidence metrics are outside of respective thresholds, then a determination can be made that the network monitoring agent is degraded. If a network monitoring agent is degraded, then its monitoring data can be discarded.

  • Publication number: 20210079079
Abstract: A system is provided including a promoter of Wnt signaling and an autologous body material (ABM) or its functional equivalent. The promoter of Wnt signaling can be an agent that inhibits the activity or bioavailability of DKK1 protein, e.g., an anti-DKK1 antibody (DKAB). The promoter of Wnt signaling can also be an agent that initiates, promotes, or potentiates Wnt signaling by means other than inhibition of DKK1. The ABM in some embodiments are prepared to remove DKK1 or an antagonist of Wnt signaling. A process of locally administering the system is also provided to enhance the intended or ancillary effects of the ABM. The system is useful in promoting the growth of new bone or the augmentation, reconstitution, regeneration, fusion, fixation, repair, or healing of damaged, injured or otherwise deficient bone in therapeutically or esthetically desirable locations, or for promoting hair growth or wound healing.

  • Patent number: 10924502
Abstract: Techniques for providing network security and anomaly detection are disclosed. In some embodiments, network traffic may be monitored in order to create a model of network traffic over a first period of time. Based on the model of network traffic, one or more inflated files may be created and stored on a system, wherein the inflated files are of a sufficient file size such that attempts to exfiltrate one or more of the files may be detected based by network monitoring tools. The inflated files may further include one or more indicators of sensitivity, including indicators of the presence of sensitive information that is not actually included in the inflated files. Network traffic characteristics may then be repeatedly or continuously monitored in order to update the size of the one or more inflated files based on changes in network traffic characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20210012580
Abstract: Sensors are deployed within a for-hire vehicle (taxi, limousine, or shuttles, for example) to measure changes in the environment of the for-hire vehicle. The sensors transmit data to a computing system that processes the data to determine the severity of the change in the environment. The aggregate of the severity of the data is used to determine if remedial action should be taken against the driver or owner/operator of the for-hire vehicle. Remedial action may include issuing a citation, fining the driver, or disabling a meter located within the for-hire vehicle. In some embodiments, venues (hotels, airports, nightclubs, or entertainment venues, for example) may restrict the ability of for-hire vehicles to pick up passengers where the aggregate of the severity of the data indicates the drivers may be engaging in careless, reckless or overly negligent driving behavior.
