  • Publication number: 20120032882
Abstract: The present invention describes a hands-free system for controlling the movement of a cursor on one or more display devices. A tracking device including a traceable marker and one or more accelerometers and gyroscopes are used to track position and acceleration of the marker relative to a target of interest. A processing means processes the motion signals from the tracking device to determine the location of the cursor on the operator's monitor, which may also be displayed on more monitors. The tracking device is worn by the operator, optimally on the operator's head. The operator's head movements determine movement of the cursor.

  • Patent number: 8107780
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a display which presents an image along a line of sight of an observer, such that the image is overlaid on a real world scene has a first waveguide and an image source device to inject the image into the first waveguide. The first waveguide has a first grating to direct the image internally and to output the image from the first waveguide. A second waveguide has a coupling grating to receive the image from the first waveguide and to direct the image along the second waveguide. The second waveguide has an exit grating to diffract the received image out of the second waveguide towards the observer. The exit grating diffracts the image out of the second waveguide off axis to a normal axis of the second waveguide.

  • Publication number: 20120017525
Abstract: A rigid rectangular construction panel, such as a floor panel, has quick release connections along its edges. The panel is made from composite materials in a single work piece. The base of the panel is made up of pillars to separate the body of the panel from the underlying construction surface, such as a concrete slab or wall. The base defines a fluid flow field to permit drainage and drying of the underlying construction surface. An impermeable moisture barrier may be provided to prevent migration of moisture into or through the panel. The panel may be provided with an added, removable surface layer which may be selectively removed and replaced without removing the underlying panel from an installation area. The core of the panel may be provided with a temperature modification element which may interconnect with similar elements in neighboring panels.

  • Patent number: 8095481
Abstract: A method and system for automatically classifying a product description into a product type based on a classification system is disclosed. Real product descriptions representing a given product type can be compared with a pre-defined set of characteristics that are relevant to the classification system. The relevant information regarding the classification system is extracted from each of the real product descriptions. The extracted information can then be coalesced and transformed into a new set of classification rules for a new product type. The new classification rules can be used to automatically classify the product descriptions that represent the new product type. The classification system can be a rule based classification system and/or semantic web classification system.
