  • Patent number: 11662867
Abstract: Some touch screens can be formed with rows and columns of touch electrodes. In some examples, during a first time period, a first set of row electrodes are driven while a second set of row electrodes are sensed. In some examples, during a second time period, the first set of row electrodes are sensed while the second set of row electrodes are driven. In some examples, during a third time period, a first set of column electrodes are driven while a second set of column electrodes are sensed. In some examples, during a fourth time period, the first set of column electrodes are sensed while the second set of column electrodes are driven. In some examples, a touch image can be generated based on the data sensed from the first, second, third, and fourth time periods.

  • Patent number: 9952957
Abstract: A method for dynamically modifying a characteristic for an electronic device. The method includes activating by a processor a first profile having a first characteristic setting and a first state for an input/output (IO) device. Once the first profile is activated, receiving an input by a sensor and communicating the input to the processor. The method then includes activating by the processor a second profile having a second characteristic setting and a second state for the IO device. The second profile modifies a component of the IO device to include a second characteristic setting and a second state.

  • Patent number: 9361822
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to systems and techniques for applying color adjustments to a display. In certain embodiments, the color adjustment techniques may be employed to transition current color correction values, which are based on a previously detected temperature of the display, to target correction values, which are based on a presently detected temperature of the display. Adjustment increments for each color channel of the display may be determined based on the color channel that has the largest difference between the current color correction value and the target color correction value. In particular, the number of adjustment steps may be determined so that the adjustment increment for each channel is less than or equal to a maximum adjustment increment.

  • Patent number: 9135889
Abstract: A method for adjusting the characteristics of a display. The method for adjusting the characteristics of the display may include constructing color models as a function of a parameter such as temperature. Furthermore, the color model may be used to determine adjustment values to be applied to a display. The adjustment values may be organized in a table as a function of temperature and color values. The adjustment values may be determined from measurements.

  • Patent number: 7882028
Abstract: In some embodiments, a calculation system may be used by a merchant to determine a merchant fee associated with a credit card transaction. The calculation system may consider various characteristics for the transaction to determine merchant fees associated with the transaction. For example, the calculation system may consider the relative security of the transaction, the length of time the transaction has been in an open batch, whether the credit card information is swiped or keyed in, whether address information for the transaction was verified, etc. The calculation system may analyze credit card transactions in real time and/or may analyze past merchant fee statements to determine the merchant fees associated with one or more past transactions. In some embodiments, the calculation system may be used by a card processor to analyze data from a merchant to determine a competitive rate/fee to offer the merchant.

  • Patent number: 7176739
Abstract: A circuit comprising an active pull-up device coupled to a level shift circuit is coupled to a one-wire bus to allow communication devices coupled to the bus to better detect digital communication signals propagating through the bus. The level shift circuit provides a reference voltage signal that is typically above the circuit ground. Communication devices coupled to the bus are better able to detect digital communication signals propagating through the bus because such signals are raised above at least a portion of the noise signals on the bus.
