  • Publication number: 20240096001
Abstract: Provided are machine learning models that generate geometry-free neural scene representations through efficient object-centric novel-view synthesis. In particular, one example aspect of the present disclosure provides a novel framework in which an encoder model (e.g., an encoder transformer network) processes one or more RGB images (with or without pose) to produce a fully latent scene representation that can be passed to a decoder model (e.g., a decoder transformer network). Given one or more target poses, the decoder model can synthesize images in a single forward pass. In some example implementations, because transformers are used rather than convolutional or MLP networks, the encoder can learn an attention model that extracts enough 3D information about a scene from a small set of images to render novel views with correct projections, parallax, occlusions, and even semantics, without explicit geometry.

  • Publication number: 20240057506
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing agricultural operation(s) for a crop, in manner consistent with a predicted quality of the crop are described. One example computer-implemented method includes accessing, by a computing device, data associated with a crop in a target field, where the data includes planting data for the crop and weather data for the target field, and correlating the weather data to each of a plurality of growth stages for the crop in the target field. The method then includes, prior to a harvest of the crop from the target field, determining, by the computing device, a quality of the crop in the target field, based on the correlated weather data and a quality model specific to a type of the crop, and directing at least one agricultural operation consistent with the determined quality of the crop in the target field.

  • Publication number: 20030214402
Abstract: A surveillance and alarm system linked through a global communications satellite system to monitor the status of a protected mobile asset(s) or person(s). The surveillance and alarm system issues an alert in response to detection of an alarm condition. Alarm conditions include both a monitored variable, such as geographical position of the mobile asset or person with respect to an allowable range of positions, as well as triggered alarm conditions, which can be automatic such as in response to loss of main power or which can be manual such as in response to activation of a wired or wireless alarm button depressed by a person in response to a security threat. The surveillance and alarm system provides global, real-time protection for mobile equipment and personnel, as well as two-way communication between the mobile entity and a remote location.

  • Patent number: 5264235
Abstract: A frozen precursor of a starch-thickened, cream-style food product, drinkable after heating without stirring in a microwave oven, comprising a freeze-resistant container suitable for heating in a microwave oven, a homogenous mixture in the container, the container and the mixture being at a temperature in a range from about -15.degree. to about -20.degree. C. The mixture comprises product flavoring components, spray-dried creaming ingredients based on vegetable oil, and granules of at least one acid-stable and freeze-thaw stable starch and maltodextrin in water, the starch granules being heat-swollen to about 70% to about 80% of their total swelling potential.

  • Patent number: 5178895
Abstract: This invention relates to a process of making a cream-style soup which can be rendered drinkable by microwave heating from a frozen state without recourse to stirring. The soup comprises an aqueous phase substantially uniformly dispersing a starch system and an oleaginous system, the aqueous phase containing at least one dissolved freezing point depressant to provide some free water substantially uniformly dispersed throughout the product. The oleaginous system includes at least one fat in the form of particles of sizes less than 10 microns and starch system comprises at least one starch in a partially gelatinized state and at least one humectant to act as a water activity depressant.

  • Patent number: 4951737
Abstract: A package terminal air conditioner having a modular blower and heater unit that is readily removable intact for servicing. The module includes a housing or box that has a back scroll portion and a pair of ends or side panels. The ends have rearwardly extending tabs and top forwardly extending mounting brackets. A cross-flow blower wheel is spaced adjacent the scroll portion of the housing and is supported by the ends. A shaft extending from the blower wheel is connected to a motor. An electric heating element is mounted to the housing, and the motor and heating element are connected to an electrical connector. The module is installed into an indoor section compartment of the air conditioner, and the tabs insert through slots in the main partition. The mounting brackets are then affixed and the connector is mated to a matching connector.
