  • Publication number: 20240088418
Abstract: A system and method are provided for controlling a plurality of fuel cells. The method includes coordinating a distribution of a power demand in response to a power request of a power system comprising a plurality of fuel cells, the power output of each of the fuel cells selected based on a respective efficiency of each of the fuel cells.

  • Patent number: 7219521
Abstract: A product handling system comprises a support structure defining a pair of stationary inverted first channels with downwardly facing open sides. At least one cylindrical drum is interposed between each of the first channels and an underlying receiver. The drums are rotatable about their axes, with their surfaces arranged to close the open sides of the respective first channels. The drum surfaces are interrupted by second channels, with the first and second channels and the drum axes being arranged in a parallel relationship. Successive product lengths are alternately delivered longitudinally into one and then the other of the first channels.

  • Patent number: 7110960
Abstract: The present invention provides an event revenue management system that calculates event pricing to manage revenue and to maximize profit from the event. In particular, the system uses event parameters, including timing, resource, and discount categories, and initializes forecasting parameters. The system aggregates historical data using the forecasting parameters to generate initial forecast statistics, taking into account the event parameters. It then forecasts demand by updating the initial forecast statistics based on current data and optimizes pricing and availability of the event based on the forecasted demand.

  • Patent number: 6697801
Abstract: Methods of hierarchically parsing and indexing text are provided. A source text is parsed to identify first level text entities and lower level text entities wherein the lower level text entities are subsets of their parent text entities. First level text entities are assigned a first level value corresponding to their locations within the source text, and lower level text entities are assigned lower level values, subordinate to their corresponding parent level value. Multiple levels of text entity parsing and numbering may take place. The association of linguistically derived variants of the text entities with their locations takes place.

  • Patent number: 6584458
Abstract: A computer system and method for information indexing and retrieval. The full text index can searchably accommodate linguistic, phonetic, conceptual, contextual and other types of relational and descriptive information. The full text index is created in two phases. In the first phase, a word list symbol table, an alphabetically ordered list and a non-repeating word number stream are constructed from the source text. In the second phase, a word number access array and in-memory full text index are constructed and then index data is merged into the final index.
