  • Publication number: 20190079744
Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems and methods for compiling abstract application and associated service models into deployable descriptors under control of a series of policies, maintaining and enforcing dependencies between policies and applications/services, and deploying policies as regularly managed policy applications themselves. In particular, an orchestration system includes one or more policy applications that are executed to apply policies to a deployable application or service in a computing environment. In general, the orchestration system operates to create one or more solution models for execution of an application on one or more computing environments (such as one or more cloud computing environments) based on a received request for deployment.

  • Publication number: 20190082004
Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems and methods for (a) model distributed applications for multi-cloud deployments, (b) derive, by way of policy, executable orchestrator descriptors, (c) model underlying (cloud) services (private, public, server-less and virtual-private) as distributed applications themselves, (d) dynamically create such cloud services if these are unavailable for the distributed application, (e) manage those resources equivalent to the way distributed applications are managed; and (f) present how these techniques are stackable. As applications may be built on top of cloud services, which themselves can be built on top of other cloud services (e.g., virtual private clouds on public cloud, etc.) even cloud services themselves may be considered applications in their own right, thus supporting putting cloud services on top of other cloud services.

  • Patent number: 10211506
Abstract: A transmission line transition that couples RF energy between a coaxial cable and an air dielectric microstrip is provided. In some embodiments, the transition can combine a thin printed circuit board substrate and an insulating surface to form an effective capacitive coupling transition that can couple RF energy from the center conductor of a coaxial cable to an air microstrip. In some embodiments, the transition can include an insulating system affixed to a metallic surface, and the insulating system can secure an airstrip conductor in close proximity to an inner conductor of a coaxial cable to capacitively couple the airstrip conductor to the inner conductor of the coaxial cable. In some embodiments, the transition can employ a metallic body coated with an insulating surface to capacitively couple RF energy from the center conductor of the coaxial cable to the air microstrip.

  • Publication number: 20190021249
Abstract: Tray assemblies organized in a vertical stack with a grow light positioned above each. Plant nutrient solution flows into a feed reservoir positioned in a first end of the top assembly. When plant nutrient solution reaches the level of outlets positioned in a sidewall of the feed reservoir, it flows into longitudinal channels positioned on the tray assembly. A collection reservoir at a second end of the tray assembly collects excess solution from the channels. A lip positioned between the channels and the collection reservoir retains some of the solution in the channels so it is available to plants held by the tray assembly. Excess solution flows from the collection reservoir of the top tray assembly to a feed reservoir serving the next tray assembly in the stack. The pattern is repeated while alternating the orientation of each tray assembly such that solution is provided to each tray assembly.

  • Publication number: 20190007885
Abstract: In a wireless communication network, base stations exchange user data for a communication service between User Equipment (UE) and wireless network gateways. The network gateways exchange the user data with Internet Protocol (IP) routers. One of the gateways receives a Border Control Protocol (BGP) message from one of the IP routers indicating a performance issue with an IP address. The network gateway associates the IP address with the communication service and transfers signaling indicating a service issue. A management computer receives the signaling and transfers signaling to the base stations to shed the one gateway for the communication service. The base stations then exchange the user data for the communication service between the UEs and the wireless network gateways except for the one gateway. These other gateways exchange the user data for the communication service with the IP routers except for the IP router having the issue.
