Abstract: A device for processing a carcass-part of slaughtered poultry in a processing line can include a tool having a primary knife and two secondary knives arranged on opposite sides of a bottom knife to disconnect a wishbone. A tertiary knife can be positionable adjacent to the two secondary knives on a side of the blades opposite to the side where the primary knife is positioned or positionable so as to define a cage for trapping the wishbone in the cage.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving program content and data describing program content from a content source, and automatically identifying, based on user preferences of a first user, one or more relevant products or services displayed in the program content. Product-related metadata associated with the program content is identified. The product-related metadata including data relating to the one or more relevant products or services displayed in the program content. The program content is communicated to a display device for presentation to a first user in a first portion of the display device, and the product-related metadata is communicated to a second display device for presentation to a second user substantially simultaneously with the presentation of the program content in the first display device. A user commentary is received from the second device, the user commentary generated by the second user and associated with the program content or product-related metadata.

Abstract: A soil monitoring system for an agricultural tillage implement includes a sensor configured to be coupled to a frame of the agricultural tillage implement. The sensor is configured to be directed toward a region of a soil surface. In addition, the sensor is configured to emit an output signal toward the region of the soil surface and to receive a return signal indicative of a profile of the soil surface within the region. Furthermore, the soil monitoring system includes a controller configured to identify a rough soil profile in response to determining that at least one variation in the profile of the soil surface within the region is greater than a first threshold value, and/or in response to determining that a number of variations in the profile of the soil surface within the region is greater than a second threshold value.

Abstract: An electronic device with a primary functionality and a tracking functionality can be used in a centralized tracking system. A controller configures the electronic device to operate in one of a set of: an “on” mode, an “off” mode, a first standby mode, and a tracking standby mode. While configured to operate in the “on” mode, the primary and tracking functionality of the electronic device are enabled, and while configured to operate in the “off” mode, both are disabled. While configured to operate in the first standby mode, the tracking functionality is enabled and the primary functionality is limited. While configured to operate in the tracking standby mode, the primary functionality is disabled but the tracking functionality is enabled, enabling the electronic device to be located while the primary functionality is disabled and saving power relative to the first standby mode and the “on” mode.

Abstract: Techniques for ensuring content output to a user conforms to a quality of the user's speech, even when a speechlet or skill ignores the speech's quality, are described. When a system receives speech, the system determines an indicator of the speech's quality (e.g., whispered, shouted, fast, slow, etc.) and persists the indicator in memory. When the system receives output content from a speechlet or skill, the system checks whether the output content is in conformity with the speech quality indicator. If the content conforms to the speech quality indicator, the system may cause the content to be output to the user without further manipulation. But, if the content does not conform to the speech quality indicator, the system may manipulate the content to render it in conformity with the speech quality indicator and output the manipulated content to the user.

Abstract: In general, various aspects of the techniques enable predictive modeling for forged components. A computing device comprising a memory and a processor may be configured to perform the techniques. The memory may store a trained machine learning model that associates training features extracted from data representative of a plurality of training forged components to a plurality of training model results. The memory may also store data representative of a target forged component. The processor may perform a geometrical analysis with respect to the data representative of the target forged component to extract target features, and apply the trained machine learning model to the target features to obtain predicted model results for the target forged component. The processor may also output the predicted model results.

Abstract: A method at a connector device, the method including receiving a first message from a peripheral device, the first message being received over a short range communications protocol connection utilizing a generic reading and writing service attribute profile; repackaging data within the first message into a second message at the connector device; and transmitting the second message to a network element, the transmitting utilizing a second communications connection, wherein the repackaging data populates a field within the second message with information about an attribute profile operation.

Abstract: An augmented reality display device includes a near-eye display configured to present imagery to a user eye. A camera is configured to capture light from a real-world environment and produce output useable to contribute to the imagery presented to the user eye via the near-eye display. The camera includes an aperture configured to receive the light from the real-world environment and an image sensor configured to respond to the light received from the real-world environment by generating sensor output signals useable to produce images on the near-eye display depicting the real-world environment. One or more optical elements provide an optical path for light from the aperture to the image sensor, the optical path having a length that is within a threshold of a distance between the user eye and the aperture of the camera.

Abstract: A method for defining a policy for providing access to a system is provided. The method includes: identifying, for each of a plurality of information classes within an information model, at least one respective information attribute; defining, for at least one of the at least one respective information attribute, a respective predicate filter function; determining, based on the defined at least one respective predicate filter function, at least one access rule that relates to a corresponding information attribute; defining the policy with respect to each of the plurality of information classes based on the constructed API and each of the determined at least one access rule; and constructing an application programming interface (API) for the information model based on the defined policy. The API may be augmented by updating parameters based on the defined policy.

Abstract: A disc assembly for an agricultural implement includes a mounting assembly having a housing and a rotatable shaft configured to be disposed within the housing. The mounting assembly includes a first end cap non-movably coupled to the rotatable shaft, in which the first end cap is configured to engage a longitudinally inward surface of a first disc blade. The mounting assembly also includes a second end cap having a first engagement feature configured to selectively engage a second engagement feature of the rotatable shaft to non-movably couple the second end cap to the rotatable shaft. The second end cap is configured to engage a longitudinally inward surface of a second disc blade, and the second end cap is selectively removable from the rotatable shaft via disengagement of the first and second engagement features to facilitate engagement and disengagement of the rotatable shaft with the longitudinal passage of the housing.

Abstract: A disc assembly for an agricultural implement includes a mounting assembly having a housing and a rotatable shaft disposed within the housing. The rotatable shaft includes a recess extending along a portion of an axial extent of the rotatable shaft. The recess is formed by an inner surface of the rotatable shaft. The rotatable shaft also includes a first engagement feature formed on the inner surface and a key disposed about the recess. The key is configured to engage an opening of a disc blade to block rotation of the disc blade relative to the rotatable shaft. Furthermore, the disc assembly includes a fastener having a shaft configured to extend through the opening of the disc blade and to engage the recess of the rotatable shaft. The shaft has a second engagement feature configured to engage the first engagement feature to couple the disc blade to the rotatable shaft.

Abstract: A contextual-based method and system for identifying and revealing objects from video directs a focus of attention to images or sequences of images responsive to a command, interrogative, or inferred preference of a user. A probability is assigned to an object that is inferred to be represented in the images or sequence of images. The probability is generated by application of a computer-implemented neural network. The probability is then updated based upon a context within which the representation of the object is inferred to be situated. The context may be inferred from one or more inferences related to one or more archetypical objects that are associated with the context. In accordance with the updated probability, a communication may be delivered that references attributes of the object and/or the user may direct a command to the representation of the object.

Abstract: A method for governing a policy for providing access to a system is provided. The method includes: receiving a plurality of policy data units, each respective policy data unit including information that relates to an access determination with respect to the system; processing the plurality of policy data units by constructing a first directed graph of policy data unit processors, and obtaining an access policy rule as a result of the processing; evaluating the obtained access policy rule across a compute environment that is distributed in time and space by using the first directed graph; generating a signed access token that relates to a predetermined user based on the obtained access policy rule; and transmitting the signed access token to the predetermined user.

A syncing agent in coordination with a system add-on coordinates log-in to a remote system and storage of session information. Syncing agent utilizes the session agent to retrieve additional information on behalf of the user or perform other tasks on the remote server.

Abstract: Content screening operations, which can include watermark extraction and the application of content usage enforcement actions, may be organized such that some or all of the operations can be conducted by different devices that are connected via connectors such as HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), analog composite video, DVI (Digital Visual Interface), SDI (Serial Digital Interface), DisplayPort, or networked via Ethernet or wireless. Authentication and encryption methods are disclosed that can be used to establish the trust and secure communication between devices that conduct collaborative content screening. Delegation architecture may be based on ascertained screening capabilities of the sink device wherein the source device verifies that the sink device is capable and trusted to perform partial or whole screening operations delegated by the source.

Abstract: A system in which players participate as characters in a virtual game world via game clients executing on client devices. An observer mode is provided that enables users to navigate in the game world without requiring a game client so that a user can navigate the game world while not actively playing the game. When a user accesses the game in observer mode, a view of the game world is rendered from the viewpoint of an observer's character; the observer's character may not correspond to a character in the game and the observer's character may not be visible to the players in the game. The rendered view of the game world is streamed to a viewing application on a personal device. Navigation inputs allow the observer's character to move freely within the game world.

Abstract: An apparatus for carrying out chemical reactions is provided. The apparatus comprises a first reactor/reaction zone for carrying out a first chemical reaction and a second reactor/reaction zone for carrying out a second chemical reaction. Each reactor/reaction zone comprises: a) an inner surface and an outer surface which are spaced apart from each other to define a reaction volume configured such that, in use, a respective chemical reaction takes place in the reaction volume, and wherein the inner surface and outer surface are configured for relative rotation with respect to each other, (b) an inlet for introduction of a reagent to the reaction volume, and (b) an outlet through which a reaction product can leave the reaction volume. The reaction products of the first reactor/reaction zone comprise reagents of the second reactor/reaction zone.
