  • Patent number: 6641664
Abstract: A paint pad allows a user to produce a unique finish to a surface without having to wear gloves. The pad includes a base having an upper surface and a lower surface. A painting medium, which is a cross-section of a natural sponge or chamois leather, Preferably, a handle extends from the upper surface of the base. In one preferred embodiment, the base and handle are both circular, with the handle extending from a center of the base and with the diameter of the base being greater than the diameter of the handle. The present paint pad provides for even paint distribution, is long lasting and is economical. • Patent number: 5885349
Abstract: A paint pad allows a user to produce a unique finish to a surface without having to wear gloves. The pad includes a base having an upper surface and a lower surface. A painting medium, such as a sponge, chamois leather, chenille, loofah, synthetic foam or cloth, is connected to the lower surface of the base. A handle extends from the upper surface of the base. Preferably, the handle and base form a one piece structure made of polystyrene foam or a lightweight plastic. The handle and base have shapes and thicknesses for maximizing user control of over the painting medium and for preventing the user's hand from contacting the painting medium and the surface being painted. In one preferred embodiment, the base and handle are both circular, with the handle extending from a center of the base and with the diameter of the base being greater than the diameter of the handle.

  • Patent number: 5187830
Abstract: A nylon mesh-covered sponge has a braided pull at one end of the mesh covering. A pocketed jacket made of a cleaning sheet material receives and holds the net-covered sponge. The entire assembly is used to wash a car. When a difficult spot is encountered, the net-covered sponge is partially or fully withdrawn from the jacket pocket to scrub the spot. The net covered sponge gives the jacket form and support, and the jacket provides quick access to the scrubber.

  • Patent number: 4043587
Abstract: The invention relates to devices removably mountable by magnetic means on a metallic hood of motor vehicle for deflecting air currents containing bugs, road grime, etc., to prevent contact thereof with the windshield of the vehicle. The deflecting devices generally comprise a horizontal base member containing semi-rigid, flexible, strip, permanent magnet members, and a transparent shield canted backwardly and connected to the base. The device is molded of a semi-rigid, flexible plastic material which permits the shield and base to flex with the air currents produced when the vehicle is in motion.
