Abstract: An IC chip can provide silicon root of trust (RoT) functionality. In described implementations, the IC chip includes a processor, an alert handler, and multiple peripheral devices, which generate alert indications. The alert handler processes the alert indications, which have security implications. The alert handler includes multiple alert receiver modules to communicate with the multiple peripheral devices. The alert handler also includes a controller, multiple accumulation units, multiple escalation timers, and multiple escalation sender modules. These components can be organized into a hierarchy of increasing escalation severity. In operation, the controller classifies an alert and flexibly implements an adaptable alert handler path that is established through the escalation components responsive to the classification and based on a source of the alert. A path can conclude with an escalation sender module commanding an escalation handler to implement a security countermeasure.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are examples of hanger and strap systems arranged to secure and support rain gutters and accommodate the installation of a gutter guard system with the rain gutter. Ab exemplary system includes a hanger and a strap. The hanger includes a body, a hook portion located on one end of the body, a flat end portion located at an opposite end of the body, and a plurality of slots passing though the body. The strap includes a body, neck section, a head section, and a plurality of apertures passing through the body. The neck and head sections are arranged to engage with one of the plurality of slots of the hanger to support the rain gutter and accommodate the installation of a gutter guard system with the rain gutter. In an alternative embodiment, the hanger includes a clipped portion on one end in place of the flat end portion.

Abstract: An adjustable gutter guard system includes a first water management component, a second water management component, and a screen. The first water management component includes a first main body section and a front receiver section. The second water management component is slideably arranged relative to the first water management component to adjust the width of the adjustable gutter guard system. The second water management component includes a second main body section and a rear receiver section. The screen is positioned in contact with the first main body section and the second main body section. Both the first main body section and the second main body section include a longitudinal body, a plurality of passageways through the longitudinal body, and at least one wall extending from a top surface of the longitudinal body.

Such gutter guard systems are designed and arranged to be positioned across the opening of a trough or box gutter to prevent debris from entering the rain gutter. The modular assembly includes a number of configurable components. In one embodiment, a gutter guard system includes a customizable main body, a mesh screen, a front receiver, and a rear receiver. The customizable main body includes a top surface, a bottom surface, a front edge, and a rear edge, and the main body is arranged to be trimmed to custom dimensions. Once assembled, the mesh screen is positioned on the top surface of the main body, the front receiver is positioned along the front edge of the main body, and the rear receiver is positioned along the rear edge of the main body.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are various components for configuring, assembling, and customizing modular gutter guard systems for trough-style and built-in gutter systems. Such customizable gutter guard systems are designed and arranged to be positioned across the opening of a trough or box gutter and include a water management features to assist in managing the flow of rainwater across the gutter guard system. The modular assembly includes a number of configurable components for use with a specific trough-style or built-in gutter system based on the trough-style or built-in gutter system's design, size, and/or dimensions and the anticipated volume and flowrate of rainwater flowing to the rain gutter system. Such customizable components include a main body, a mesh screen, and front and rear receivers. The main body and mesh screen can be secured together to form a main body subassembly, and a water management feature can be formed in the main body subassembly.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are gutter guard systems arranged to efficiently manage the flow of rainwater across the system and prevent the matting of debris onto the system. In one exemplary embodiment, a gutter guard system includes a main body and a screen covering the main body. The main body includes a front receiver, a rear receiver, and a water management section positioned between and connecting the front and rear receivers. The screen spans the water management section and is secured to the main body by engagement on one end with the front receiver and on the opposite end with the rear receivers. When the gutter guard system is installed in a rain gutter, the front receiver engages with the front edge of the rain gutter, and the rear receiver engages with the rear portion of the rain gutter.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and tools for customizing shower panels to accommodate a variety of shapes and sizes of shower bases, where such methods and tools reduce installation steps. One exemplary method includes steps of using tools to trim a back shower panel, a first side shower panel, and a second side shower panel to conform to the contours of the top edges of a shower base. An exemplary assembly of tools used to perform described methods includes a plurality of contour gauge tools and a drain center groove. Each contour gauge tool includes a contoured edge, a slot formed through the contour gauge tool, and indicia formed on a surface of the contour gauge tool. The drain center tool includes a first groove, second groove intersecting the first groove and perpendicular to the first groove, and a tab extending upward of the top surface of the drain center tool.

In one embodiment, a clip includes a first wall, a second wall arranged generally parallel and spaced apart from the first wall, a first slot defined by the first wall and the second wall, a third wall, a fourth wall spaced apart from the third wall, and a second slot defined by the third wall and the fourth wall. The first slot is arranged to removably secure the clip to a rear receiver of a gutter guard system, and the second slot is arranged to removably secure the clip to a gutter.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a hand held tool to assist in modifying screens for use with modular gutter guard systems. The hand held tool is a water management feature forming tool that is arranged to engage with a mesh screen and main body of a gutter guard system to form raised sections and recessed sections in the screen. These raised and recessed sections assist in managing the flow of rainwater across the screen. The water management feature forming tool includes a roller with a plurality of raised features along the surface of the roller. The raised features are sized and arranged to correspond to the physical structure of the main body of the gutter guard system so that when the roller is rolled along the screen and main body combination, the engagement of the raised features and the structure of the main body forms raised and recessed sections in the screen.

One embodiment is a kit that includes an extension rod and a plurality of measurement templates. The extension rod includes a pivotable head and a magnet. Each of the plurality of measurement templates includes a body and at least one metal component. The body of each measurement template is arranged such that it conforms to the inside or outside dimensions or contours of a rain gutter. The measurement templates are arranged to physically engage with rain gutters when assessing rain gutters. The measurement templates can assess K-style, half-round style, and fascia style rain gutters.
