The chemical sampling sink also includes an exhaust line attached to the enclosure, the exhaust line being configured to suction gases from the enclosure, and a filter positioned on the enclosure, the filter being configured to remove contaminants from air drawn into the enclosure as gases are suctioned from the enclosure out the exhaust line.

    Abstract: A system for regulating pressure in a sealed chemical storage tank. The system includes a vent passage connected to the tank, through which gas may pass into and out of the tank. The vent passage includes a first enclosed region having a first volume and a second enclosed region having a second volume. A volume of liquid, which is less than each of the first and second volumes, is associated with the vent passage to selectively constrain the passage of gas through the vent passage. Increased pressure in the tank moves the liquid into the second enclosed region. The second enclosed region is constructed to accommodate the volume of liquid to allow gas to pass. Vacuum in the tank moves the liquid into the first enclosed region. The first enclosed region is constructed to accommodate the volume of liquid to allow gas to pass.

    Abstract: A process is provided for preparing an elastic film of a specific elastomeric composition which is formed by melt blending two particular elastomers, each of which is composed of hard and soft segments made from poly(tetramethylene ether)glycol, 1,4-butane diol and a phenylene dicarboxylic acid or a derivative thereof. One of the elastomers has an inorganic anti-blocking agent compounded in it. The process includes the steps of melt blending, melt extrusion, quenching and providing a draw-down of 12 to 40 to form a film which is particularly suited for use as elastic leg-strips in diapers.

    Abstract: A specific elastomeric composition is formed by melt blending two particular elastomers, each composed of hard and soft segments made from poly(tetra-methylene ether) glycol, 1,4-butane diol and a phenylene dicarboxylic acid or a derivative thereof. The blend exhibits a melting endotherm that extends from no lower than 120.degree. C. to no higher than 215.degree. C. with a melting peak in the range of 150.degree. to 175.degree. C. Films made from the composition are particularly suited for use as elastic leg-strips in diapers.

    Abstract: A solution process for the preparation of high molecular weight homopolymers of ethylene and copolymers of ethylene and C.sub.3 -C.sub.12 .alpha.-olefins is disclosed. The process involves feeding monomer, a particular coordination catalyst and hydrocarbon solvent to a reactor, polymerizing the monomer at a temperature of 105.degree.-320.degree. C. and recovering the polymer. The catalyst is obtained by combining solutions of titanium tetrahalide and of organoaluminum compound at a temperature of less than 30.degree. C., heating the resulting admixture to a temperature of 150.degree.-300.degree. C. for a period of 10 seconds to 10 minutes and combining the thus heat-treated mixture with a solution of an organoaluminum compound. The catalyst thus obtained is fed to the process, without separation of any components of the catalyst. In an embodiment part of the titanium tetrahalide may be replaced with vanadium oxytrihalide.
