  • Publication number: 20240039269
Abstract: A protection device for monitoring an energy supply grid has a measured value acquisition device for acquiring measured values which indicate an electrical state of the energy supply grid, and an evaluation device which is connected to the measured value acquisition device and is configured to carry out a plurality of protection functions and, as a result, to make a decision as to whether the energy supply grid is in a permissible or impermissible operating state. Here, the evaluation device be designed entirely in the form of a single neural network with an input neuron layer that receives the measured values and/or values derived therefrom, intermediate neuron layers, and an output neuron layer which outputs a classification of operating states of the energy supply grid. The neural network for classifying the operating states is trained to carry out all protection functions together.

  • Patent number: 10586624
Abstract: Disclosed herein are an imaging assembly and a method of controlling the imaging assembly. The assembly includes a housing having a sensor configured to detect radiation impinging on the sensor from a plurality of directions. The assembly may employ one or more shields, including a first internal shield having a first annular body between a first inner surface and a first outer surface. The first internal shield is configured to be placed in the housing such that the first inner surface at least partially surrounds the sensor. When the first internal shield is placed in the housing, the sensor is configured to receive a first central zone radiation through a first field of view, and a first peripheral zone radiation through a first peripheral view. The assembly is configured to provide at least one of a controllable field of view and reduced background contamination in an image domain.

  • Patent number: 10268165
Abstract: A liquid metal leak detector system including a direct current (DC) power supply and a plurality of analog to digital converters connected to the DC power supply. Each converter includes a liquid metal switch, where the liquid metal switch is closed in event of a liquid metal leak since the liquid metal leak causes electrical continuity between a conductive sheeting and a housing for liquid metal. The converter also includes a comparator connected to both the liquid metal switch for converting an analog signal into a digital signal, wherein the digital signal is configured such that a high signal constitutes no leak and a low signal constitutes a leak. An AND gate is also connected to each of the plurality of converters for combining all of the digital signals output from the converters, the AND gate configured such that the AND gate outputs a high signal if all of its inputs are high and a low signal if any input is low.

  • Patent number: 10032264
Abstract: An imaging assembly includes a radiation camera configured to obtain position-sensitive radiation data of at least one source of interest. The assembly includes a controller includes a processor and tangible, non-transitory memory on which is recorded instructions for executing a method for reducing background interference in the position-sensitive radiation data in an image domain. The controller is programmed to generate a first set of image data (G1) from the position-sensitive radiation data with a first energy window. A second set of image data (G2) is generated from the position-sensitive radiation data with a second energy window such that the second energy window does not overlap with the first energy window. A third set of image data (G3) is generated having reduced background interference, based at least partially on the first and second sets of image data.

  • Patent number: 9062813
Abstract: Embodiments include a cushion clamp support and assembly and related method. In one embodiment the cushion clamps support includes a support base and a support bracket for receiving the support base. The support base and the support bracket are substantially flat in selective corresponding areas that align when disposed adjacent to one another to prevent further rotation. The support base and the support bracket each have complementary retention features that correspond to one another such that the retention features engage one another to secure the support base to the support bracket. The support bracket has a plurality of opposing lips for receiving at least a portion of a cushion clamp.

  • Patent number: 5071062
Abstract: A box having a full size configuration and a reduced size configuration is provided. The full size box can hold, for example, an entire pizza. When the full volume is no longer required, the box can be reduced in size by eliminating certain portions thereof by tearing along preformed perforated score lines and folding along specially provided score lines. In accordance with the invention, no tools are required to form the smaller size box from the blank of the full size box. A microwave susceptor material can be provided on the base of the box to crispen leftovers that are heated in a microwave oven.
