  • Publication number: 20250044140
Abstract: Liquid level detection systems and methods include a sensor having one or more radar transmitters, a plurality of radar receivers, and an antenna associated with each of the radar receivers at a respectively unique location relative to a liquid storage tank. A processor is configured to determine, based on radar returns from combinations of the one or more radar transmitters and the plurality of receivers, a single liquid level output for the storage tank in order to reduce an influence of possibly inaccurate radar returns due to localized effects from tank imperfections and/or solid/liquid buildup in the storage tank.

  • Publication number: 20250044141
Abstract: A monitoring system for a mobile liquid storage tank includes a plurality of independently operable sensor elements each configured to measure a liquid level inside the mobile liquid storage tank and a processor which iteratively receives a liquid level measurement from the sensor elements, determines a single liquid level output measurement that is robust to measurement variation by one or more of the plurality of independently operable sensor elements, and determines at least one liquid level usage analytic. A display is also provided which visually presents the at least one liquid level usage analytic.

  • Publication number: 20250044138
Abstract: Liquid level sensor systems and methods include a plurality of radar transmitter/receiver combinations each configured to provide a radar return from a respectively different location relative to the liquid storage tank. One or more processors are configured to determine, based on the respective radar returns from the plurality of radar transmitter/receiver combinations, a single liquid level output for the liquid storage tank in order to reduce an influence of possibly inaccurate radar returns due to localized effects from tank imperfections and/or solid/liquid buildup in the liquid storage tank.

  • Publication number: 20250044139
Abstract: Liquid level sensor systems and methods include a sensor having a plurality of radar transmitters, one or more radar receivers, and antennas associated with each of the plurality of radar transmitters at respectively unique locations relative to the liquid storage tank. A processor is configured to determine, in view of the respective radar returns from combinations of the plurality of radar transmitters and one or more radar receivers, a single liquid level output for the liquid storage tank in order to reduce an influence of possibly inaccurate radar returns due to localized effects from tank imperfections and/or solid/liquid buildup.

  • Publication number: 20240230886
Abstract: A traffic monitoring system for monitoring objects within an intersection comprises a centralized controller unit. The centralized controller unit comprises one or more processors for processing data feeds received from one or more radar subsystems. One or more radar subsystems are positioned adjacent to each other at a single location relative to an intersection. The one or more radar subsystems are configured to receive radar data from within the intersection.

  • Publication number: 20140350235
Abstract: A novel method for attaching oligonucleotides to a paramagnetic solid support is disclosed. Conventional methods of attachment require that oligonucleotides be pre-synthesized with specific end modifications, which is laborious and expensive. Instead, we attached oligonucleotides to paramagnetic beads by direct synthesis of the oligonucleotides on the surface of the beads. An external magnet was used to hold the paramagnetic beads in place during solid-phase synthesis. A magnetic force was applied directly to the beads to prevent their loss, in particular, during reagent purge-to-waste steps that involved high-pressure drain or vacuum. This method can be adapted for use in any laboratory working with conventional synthesis automation, and can be employed, for example, with single columns and multi-well titer plates.

  • Publication number: 20030058133
Abstract: A vehicle traffic sensor for detecting and monitoring vehicular targets is presented. The sensor employs a planar design resulting in a reduced profile sensor. The sensor includes a multi-layer radio frequency board with RF components on one of the sides and both isolation and planar array antennas on the opposing side. The antennas are preferably tapered planar array antennas which include one transmit antenna and one receive antenna. The sensor also includes at least one logic or signal processing board populated with components on a first side and a ground plane on a second side positioned toward the RF componentry of the RF board to form an RF shield. The boards are housed within a housing that is permeable, at least on the side through which the antenna structures propagate.
