The fuel injection valve comprises an actuator, housed in a valve chamber, and a valve closing element that is actuated by the actuator by means of a valve needle. The valve closing element interacts with a valve face to give a sealing seat. The valve also comprises a transition piece that is attached to the actuator, and an expandable hose encompasses the periphery of the actuator and a part of the transition piece.
