  • Patent number: 12273143
Abstract: Technologies and techniques for operating an electro-optical transmission device. An optical carrier signal is generated via an optical signal source of a base unit of the transmission device. An arbitrary signal is generated via the optical signal source, and the arbitrary signal is modulated onto the optical carrier signal in the base unit, forming a transmission signal. The transmission signal is transmitted to an antenna unit of the transmission device via an optical transmission medium, and the arbitrary signal and the carrier signal are separated in the antenna unit. Aspects also are directed to a computer program product and to a transmission device configured to perform such functions.

  • Publication number: 20250104346
Abstract: Various implementations record a shared event by generating a temporal-based three-dimensional (3D) representation for use in providing/rendering views of the recorded event. For example, a method may include determining that a second device is currently at an event at a physical environment. The method may further include providing a notification to the second device for an option to authorize use of sensor data based on determining that the second device is currently at the event. The method may further include receiving authorization to use the sensor data. The method may further include obtaining the sensor data from the second device in accordance with the authorization. The method may further include generating a temporal-based 3D representation of the event based on the sensor data obtained from the second device and additional sensor data obtained from one or more other devices at the event.

  • Publication number: 20250076488
Abstract: A system and method for estimating current positions of sensor elements in an array sensor involve providing initial position estimates by an electronic computing device, transmitting a sensor signal into the surroundings, and receiving a reflected signal from at least one calibration target. The system determines the direction of arrival of the reflected signal and analytically estimates the virtual positions of the sensor elements based on this direction and a criterion of smallest residuum. The current positions are then estimated using the virtual positions and initial estimates. The technology further includes a computer program product, a computer-readable storage medium, and an array sensor configured to perform these functions.

  • Publication number: 20240075914
Abstract: A method for optimizing the meterability of brake force in an ABS braking with a brake-by-wire brake system. The method includes various steps. First, a driver brake request is sensed by a pedal force simulator. In addition, a trigger point (A) of an ABS braking is recognized. In the case of a recognized ABS braking, there is a correction of the sensed driver brake request such that, upon recognizing the trigger point (A) during a reduction of the sensed driver brake request, the corrected driver brake request is reduced to the extent that ABS braking is no longer present. The corrected driver brake request is subsequently implemented by building up a corresponding brake pressure in a brake device of the brake system.
