  • Patent number: 11067199
Abstract: An apparatus for determining when an operational opening event occurs for a pressure relief valve. The apparatus includes a pressure relief valve lift indicator disposed adjacent to a portion of the pressure relief valve to determine the frequency of the operational opening events of the pressure relief valve. A method of monitoring a pressure relief valve. A pressure relief valve lift indicator is placed in close proximity to the pressure relief valve to determine when the pressure relief valve experiences an operational opening event. Operational data associated with the operational opening event is tracked.

  • Patent number: 7051470
Abstract: A battery-powered lighted fishing rod including: a handle having a forward end; a shaft extending from the forward end of the handle; an electroluminescent lamp secured the shaft; and a power source for supplying electrical power to the electroluminescent lamp. In one embodiment, the handle includes a housing which houses a battery and a DC-to-AC inverter for converting the relatively low battery voltage to a relative high AC voltage suitable for driving the electroluminescent lamp and a cover. The cover mates with the housing to form a gripping surface on the handle.

  • Publication number: 20020174591
Abstract: A fishing rod comprising an elongate rod having a removably or permanently attached rod tip. The rod tip comprises reinforcing fiber and a bonding resin. The reinforcing fiber comprises at least 10% by weight poly-para-phenylene terephthalamide fiber. The rod preferably further comprises at least one line guide secured to the rod by application of the same type of reinforcing fiber material and a bonding resin.

  • Patent number: 5584549
Abstract: The cabinet for a front serviceable appliance includes a pair of side panels with a lower and an upper support extending between their lower and upper front corners respectively. Tab and slot arrangements mount a front panel on the lower support for pivotal movement between a first position, juxtaposed to the side panels, and a second position, angled away from the side panels. A plurality of locking clips secure a top flange of the front panel to the upper support. A top panel is spaced above the top of the front panel sufficiently for access by a tool to release the front panel from the upper support. Pin and slot arrangements align the front panel with the side panels.

  • Patent number: 5584173
Abstract: A thermal shield and support structure assembly for a gas turbine engine is disclosed wherein the thermal shield can be removed while the support structure is still mounted in the engine. The thermal shield in the form of a divergent seal baseplate and the support structure is particularly useful for divergent seals and provides a removable baseplate having at least two hooks disposed on the back side of the baseplate. The hooks have axially facing openings, preferably open in the forward facing direction and are operable to engage transversely extending pins on the frame of the support structure. An axial retaining means to prevent the hooks from disengaging from the pins may also be used which, in one embodiment, provides a lug having a first aperture and extending away from the back side of the baseplate to engage a clevis having two arms having second apertures alignable with the lug's aperture and a bolt or other fastening means disposed through the apertures.

  • Patent number: 5533367
Abstract: An appliance shipping restraint assembly includes a housing with a base and vertical lateral walls. An operational assembly is mounted in the housing and is normally moveable relative to the housing. The operational assembly includes a platform spaced above the base with a pair of spaced apart, aligned openings. The base includes a pair of spaced apart openings aligned with the openings in the platform. An elongated rod extends through the openings in the platform and the base to restrain the operational assembly against excessive movement during shipment of the appliance. The rod is removable to release the operational assembly for normal movement relative to the housing.

  • Patent number: 5000386
Abstract: An exhaust flap for use in the exhaust section of an aircraft gas turbine engine is built with increased service life and ease of replacement. The exhaust flap includes convergent nozzle flaps, divergent nozzle flaps, convergent seal flaps and divergent seal flaps. The exhaust flap comprises a frame assembly with means for mounting in the engine and effecting its movement. The frame assembly is particularly characterized in having an open frame with at least one rail having a receiving channel. A removable baseplate dimensioned to slide into the receiving channels and a retainer means for attachment to the frame assembly to securely hold the baseplate in the frame assembly are also provided. The retainer means is readily removed to permit replacement of the baseplate while the exhaust flap is still mounted in the engine. The removable baseplate prolongs the service life of the exhaust flap due to a decrease in temperature induced stresses.
