  • Publication number: 20190262559
Abstract: A therapeutic device for treating conditions of a user's nasal cavities, sinuses, and/or ear canals includes a housing which the user may hold to apply the therapeutic device to the user, the housing including an inlet that allows air to enter the therapeutic device. An acoustic vibrator located within the housing provides an acoustic vibration to the user, and a power supply located within the housing provides power to the acoustic vibrator. A mask is connected to the housing and includes a nasal interface that is appliable around the nose of the user. A valve of the mask opens to allow the user to breathe through the inlet and closes to prevent the user from exhaling through the inlet. The mask further includes a diaphragm and a nasal cavity in which a user's nostrils are located when the nasal interface is applied to the user.

  • Publication number: 20190220065
Abstract: This application relates to hidden fasteners within an electronic device. An electronic device can include a top portion and a base portion that includes a housing and a cover attached to the housing by at least one fastener that is not visible through an external surface of the cover. Each fastener includes a receiver housing that retrains spherical components and a pin that can be inserted into an opening in the receiver housing. The pin is retained in the receiver housing by a force imparted against a surface of the pin by the spherical components, which are biased towards an inner surface of the receiver housing sloped towards the opening. The pin can be released when an external magnetic field from a magnet placed proximate the bottom surface of the receiver housing retracts the spherical components away from the opening, thereby reducing the force against the surface of the pin.

  • Publication number: 20180196447
Abstract: A dilution control device and method of operating the same. The dilution control device can include a structure for dispensing concentrate and diluent fluid in a desired dilution ratio utilizing volumetric dosing. In some embodiments, diluent fluid drives a wheel or compresses a pliable concentrate bag in order to dispense concentrate in the desired ratio with the diluent fluid. In some embodiments, one or more floats can be used to drive a pump or actuate a valve to dispense concentrate at a particular rate proportional with the flow rate of the diluent fluid. In some embodiments, a rocker is responsive to the flow of diluent fluid to pump concentrate. In some embodiments, the dilution control device can be operable to automatically modulate the dispense rate of concentrate when the diluent fluid flow rate is varied in order to maintain a predetermined dilution ratio.

  • Patent number: 9929496
Abstract: A rectilinear communications connector configured for use in applications where space for exiting communications cables is extremely limited. The rectilinear communications connector of the present invention includes a base extending from an exit end of the connector and a cap attachable to the base. The base and cap defining a cavity in which an articulation section of the communications cable is enclosed and protected. The articulation section is a portion of the communications cable having a protective sheath covering the plurality of communications wires removed, thereby permitting the individual communication wires to be easily configured such that the communications cable exits the rectilinear communications connector at approximately 90 degrees with respect to the longitudinal axis of the communications connector.

  • Patent number: 9835415
Abstract: A pattern for camouflage and a method for making the pattern. The method includes taking photographic images from the perspective of the selected animal or bird. In one embodiment, the photographic image can be taken from above so as to create a finite background within the selected environment. In another embodiment, the pattern is adapted to be seamlessly repeatable across a surface. The method includes placing desired harvested abstracts into the photographic scene to obtain the overall desired effect of the camouflage pattern including color, composition, depth and repeat. The method also includes taking multiple photographs of the same scene from the same exact spot focusing on different parts of the photographic scene to add clarity to certain portions of the images, enhance depth, and reach desired color palate. The method includes adjusting the color of objects, including water within the photographic scene, to reflect true color of objects absent outside conditions.

  • Publication number: 20170234446
Abstract: A valve closure for a dispenser comprises a rigid body portion and a flexible diaphragm that engages the body portion when the valve closure is mounted in the dispenser. The valve closure may include a combination central boss/pin and dispensing orifice that, through a self-closing and self-sealing action, cuts off material flow following dispensation. Such configuration of a central boss/pin may also tend to prevent or at least reduce orifice re-healing by holding open the orifice during periods of non-use when the orifice is cut-off to material flow. For example, the central boss/pin may include an undercut region with which an annular lip of the orifice may engage to seal the orifice. The valve closure may further include a secondary channel, in addition but separate to a primary fluid flow channel, which may be used to provide external air venting that is completely or substantially de-coupled from fluid dispensation.

  • Patent number: 9715501
Abstract: Technologies are described herein for converting presentations between differing slide dimensions and aspect ratios. A scaling factor is calculated from the difference between the original dimensions of the slide and the new dimensions of the converted slide. Next, the content objects on the slide are scaled based on the scaling factor such that the aspect ratio of the content object is maintained. A horizontal position zone and vertical position zone is determined for each content object on the slide, and new coordinates for the position of the content objects are calculated utilizing formulas based on the horizontal position zone and a vertical position zone determined for each.
