The electrodynamic layer may be configured to adjust the lens from a first state to a second state in response to a first signal from the sensor and from the second state back to the first state in response to a second signal from the sensor. The second state may include an at least partial obstruction of vision through the lens.

Both the pump and the syringe have threaded couplers which securely couple the pump to the syringe by rotating the couplers with respect to each other.

The polarization filter enhances the performance by allowing transmission of the polarization filter closer to the theoretical maximum transmission.
