  • Publication number: 20190164375
Abstract: An escrow module of a valuable media depository is configured to self-adjust the position of an escrow drum relative to an escrow pinch. The media is maintained within the pinch as the escrow module takes in media items and returns media items by the self-adjusting positions of the escrow drum. As the drum fills up with media items, the drum is moved away from the escrow pinch while maintaining a consistent media path and providing consistent performance regardless of the number of media items being processed in a transaction to and from the drum.

  • Patent number: 10040261
Abstract: Applicants have discovered that certain polyethylene (PE) homopolymers or copolymers of ethylene and C3 to C10 alpha-olefin monomers are more suitable for oriented processes than other polyethylene resins. In an aspect, the PE has a MFI of 0.3 g/10 min. to 5.0 g/10 min., a melting point of from 110° C. to 140° C., a density of from 0.912 g/cm3 to 0.965 g/cm3(%), a haze of 10% or less, a clarity of at least 90, and a gloss of at least 60. The polyethylene is heated and formed into an article, cooled, and then the article is stretch oriented. In an embodiment, the film, tape, the melt extruded, injection blow molded, injection stretch blow molded, cast, and thermoformed articles that can be produced with this polyethylene has a thickness of 0.1 mil to 100 mils. The polyethylene exhibits excellent elasticity, toughness, stretch and optical properties for such applications.

  • Patent number: 9680778
Abstract: A system and method for delivering content in real-time using advanced messaging technology that reduces the risk of content being lost or dropped in transmission. The system and method utilize a custom, simplified XML format to deliver real-time textual, numeric, and metadata content directly to subscribers. The XML tag set specifies all of the information needed to package, process, and distribute real-time content messages and includes an advanced tagging structure that allows granular content customization. Messages are built on the fly using multi-channel data processing techniques. The XML delivery system and method offers an array of real-time market-specific page-based “Alert” services and aggregated newswires with accompanying real-time numeric data feeds. These feeds contain proprietary assessments and other price data across a broad spectrum of global and regional commodity markets, including oil, petrochemicals, metals, electric power, natural gas, coal, and risk.

  • Publication number: 20170051118
Abstract: A process including vis-breaking of polypropylene in the presence of 3,6,9-triethyl-3,6,9-trimethyl-1,4,7-triperoxonane to obtain vis-broken polypropylene is provided. The vis-broken polypropylene may be pelletized to obtain pellets. A ratio of a melt flow rate (MI2) of the pellets to a melt flow rate (MI2) of the polypropylene prior to the vis-breaking may be greater than 1:1 and at most 4:1. The pellets may be used to form articles.

  • Publication number: 20160325486
Abstract: A method of forming a thermoformed article may include melt extruding polyethylene to form an extruded sheet. The rheological breadth parameter of the polyethylene may change by no more than about 5% after extrusion relative to the rheological breadth parameter of the polyethylene prior to extrusion. The extruded sheet may be thermoformed within a mold to form the thermoformed article. During thermoforming, the extruded sheet may be subjected to solid-state stretching in one or more directions. The thermoformed article may be retrieved from the mold. The polyethylene may have a rheological breadth parameter of from 0.20 to 0.40, a multimodal molecular weight distribution, a polydispersity (Mw/Mn) of from 5 to 18, a density ranging from 0.940 to 0.970 g/cc, may exhibit tensile strain-hardening, or combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 9322632
Abstract: A linear position sensor assembly having a magnetic shield minimizes interference (noise) from adjacent electrical and electromagnetic devices, particularly solenoids. The sensor assembly includes a permanent magnet linear contactless displacement (PLCD) sensor comprising a pair of magnetic field sensors which are spaced apart by a member of high magnetic permeability such as a metal bar. The sensors and metal bar are enclosed, i.e., surrounded on three sides, by a cover or shield of high magnetic permeability material such as steel or mu metal, for example. A permanent magnet is disposed in sensed proximity to the sensors and translates with a clutch actuator component. When the clutch actuator component translates axially, the two field sensors provide a signal to associated electronics having high linearity, low noise and no deadband.
