  • Patent number: 11951184
Abstract: An expression cassette for gene silencing and replacement, including, in operable communication, a promoter, an expression attenuator, a nucleotide sequence encoding a gene for a replacement target protein, and an shRNA sequence for knockdown of an endogenous variant of the target protein, wherein the promoter, the expression attenuator, the nucleotide sequence encoding the gene for the replacement target protein, and the shRNA are expressed as a single transcript. Also included are expression vectors and cells. Also included are methods of silencing and replacement of a target gene in a cell in culture by transforming the cells with the expression vectors described herein. Also included are minimal expression cassettes suitable for therapeutic methods.

  • Publication number: 20110179546
Abstract: An infant swaddle, and method of using thereof. In accordance with an embodiment the swaddle comprises a body portion, wing portions, and either one or more, or a pair of, arm pockets positioned to the side of the infant's torso so that, when the infant is placed into the body portion and their arms placed into the arm pocket or pockets, the infant's arms are gently initially positioned outwards, with their hands upwards, generally along the orientation of the wings. The wings can then be folded over and fastened which gently folds and constrains the infant's arms in the pockets, so that their hands are positioned at the midline of their chest.

  • Patent number: 7188051
Abstract: A system for evaluating time requirements for performing maintenance on a maintenance object. One or more processors and memory are operable to provide a form on which a user describes a maintenance task. The described task is made available for maintenance time analysis as at least one of the following: a main task, a subtask of another main task, and an elementary operation. The user is allowed to combine a plurality of described tasks into one or more hierarchies designated by the user. This system provides flexibility to evaluate maintenance task times regardless of whether a level of detail and/or design maturity is minimal or complete.
