  • Publication number: 20220383444
Abstract: Generation and storage of compressed z-planes in graphics processing is described. An example of a processor includes a rasterizer to generate a fragment of pixel data including blocks of pixel data; a depth pipeline to receive the fragment, the pipeline including a first and second depth test hardware, the first depth test hardware to perform a coarse depth test including determining minimum and maximum depths for each block; and a depth buffer, wherein the processor is to determine whether the fragment meets requirements that the fragment fully covers a tile of pixel data and passes a first depth test, and that each of the minimum and maximum depths of the fragment has a same sign and exponent, and, upon determining that the fragment meets the requirements, to generate a compressed depth plane utilizing the first depth test and update the depth buffer with the compressed depth plane.

  • Patent number: 10119197
Abstract: A Dye Sensitized Photoelectrosynthesis Cell (DSPEC) splits water with visible light using a derivatized, core/shell nanostructured photoanode with the core having a high surface area conductive metal oxide film—such as nanoITO (indium tin oxide) or nanoATO (antimony tin oxide)—coated with a thin outer shell of, for example, TiO2 formed by Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD). A “chromophore-catalyst assembly” 1, [(PO3H2)2bpy)2Ru(4-Mebpy-4-bimpy)Ru(tpy)(OH2)]4+, which combines both light absorber and water oxidation catalyst in a single molecule, is attached to the TiO2 shell. Visible photolysis of the resulting core/shell/assembly structure with a Pt cathode results in water splitting into hydrogen and oxygen.

  • Patent number: 9260670
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for the selective hydrogenation of diolefins and sulfur compounds that are contained in a pyrolysis gasoline feedstream. The process includes utilizing a single hydrotreating reaction stage by introducing the pyrolysis gasoline feedstock that includes a diolefin concentration and an organic sulfur concentration into a reactor that is loaded with a high activity hydrotreating catalyst and which is operated under selective hydrogenation conditions. A reactor effluent having a reduced diolefin concentration and a reduced organic sulfur concentration is yielded from the reactor and is separated into a portion that is recycled as a reactor feed. The remaining portion of the reactor effluent is passed downstream for further processing or handling.

  • Patent number: 8921630
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for the removal of sulfur from a fuel gas stream that additionally contains diolefins and oxygen as well as organic sulfur compounds by pretreating the fuel gas stream in a pretreatment reactor in order to significantly reduce the amounts of any diolefins and oxygen contained therein prior to the hydrodesulfurization in a hydrotreater reactor wherein organic sulfur compounds are converted to hydrogen sulfide. The hydrogen sulfide formed is removed from the hydrotreated gas stream by use of an absorption treatment method, such as amine treatment, to yield a treated fuel gas stream having a reduced concentration of hydrogen sulfide and an overall sulfur content that is low enough to meet stringent sulfur regulation requirements.

  • Publication number: 20130013378
Abstract: A method of determining a relationship between page response time and lost revenue. The method includes identifying a performance metric and determining a first relationship that indicates by how much changes in the value of the performance metric are attributable to changes in the value of the page response time. The method also includes determining a second relationship that indicates losses in revenue attributable to changes in the value of the performance metric. A third relationship is then determined which indicates losses in revenue attributable to changes in the value of the page response time. Optionally, a threshold lost revenue value may be used to determine a threshold page response time, which may be used to determine when corrective action should be taken to reduce page response time.
