  • Publication number: 20230180371
Abstract: Detection and identification of auditory events in distributed lighting networks is provided. Lighting fixtures or other devices in a distributed lighting network can incorporate an audio sensor (e.g., a microphone) through which auditory events (e.g., air leaks in compressed air systems, high noise events, shots fired, clapping, voice commands, etc.) are detected and measured. Through machine learning (e.g., a convolutional neural network), a type of auditory event can be identified, and action can be taken based on the type of the auditory event, such as to provide notification, alert nearby users, log events, provide sound cancelation, and so on. In some examples, the auditory event can be localized using multiple audio sensors. In some examples, a learning algorithm can fuse information from multiple sensor inputs, such as temperature sensors, cameras, occupancy sensors, light sensors, and so on.

  • Patent number: 11613856
Abstract: A milling machine, system, and method for implementing a return to cut operation and/or an exit cut operation controls legs of the milling machine, a rotor of the milling machine, and front and rear doors of a mixing chamber of the milling machine according to settings for each of the return to cut operation and the exit cut operation. Such control can be based on signals from one or more sensors of the milling machine configured to sense various position-related characteristics of the milling machine, and can be performed responsive to a control input at an operator control interface of the milling machine.

  • Publication number: 20220386435
Abstract: Computer implemented systems and methods for providing dynamic lighting through lighting fixtures are provided herein. In one aspect, one or more characteristics of light provided from a lighting fixture or a plurality of lighting fixtures changes over time to shape the environment of an indoor space according to simulated environment illumination parameters and general illumination parameters. Dynamic lighting may improve the health or wellbeing of individuals in an indoor space, for example, by simulating an outdoor environment to reduce stress, by providing circadian entrainment to improve sleep and wakefulness, or the like. Other aspects of the present disclosure enable lighting fixtures to provide light that is synchronized with one or more other devices that simulate an environment and shape the environment of an indoor space.

  • Patent number: 11419201
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing dynamic lighting are provided. In an exemplary aspect, one or more characteristics of light provided from a lighting device or a group of lighting devices changes over time to shape the environment of an indoor space according to dynamic lighting instructions. Dynamic lighting may improve the health or wellbeing of individuals in an indoor space, for example, by simulating an outdoor environment to reduce stress, by providing circadian entrainment to improve sleep and wakefulness, or the like. Other aspects of the present disclosure enable lighting devices to provide light that is synchronized with one or more other devices and does not significantly drift over time so that the lighting devices can provide seamless dynamic lighting experiences that shape the environment of an indoor space.

  • Patent number: 11255666
Abstract: A level that is attached to the drill bit. It is on a bar that allows the level to be offset from the drill bit so that it is visible by the operator. The bar has a bearing in it that allows the bit to spin freely while holding the level in a set position. The level has a ball that centers in a ring when it is level and plumb. To use the device, after it is installed in a drill, the operator adjusts the position of the drill until the ball is in the center of the ring. Then, the drill bit is plumb and the hold will be true. The operator merely has to watch the level and adjust the drill as needed to maintain plumb to ensure a true hole.

  • Patent number: 11154973
Abstract: A modular tool apparatus includes at least one handle, at least one utility tool, at least one attachment channel, at least one pivot pin, and at least one lever. The pivot pin includes a D-shaped cross section and rotatably connected to the handle thus enabling the foldable connection between the handle and the utility tool. The lever is terminally connected to the pivot pin and allows the pivot pin to be configured in between a locked position and an unlocked position. The attachment channel laterally traverses into the utility tool as the attachment channel is rotatably engaged around the pivot pin. The utility tool is foldably attached to the handle through the attachment channel and the pivot pin, wherein the D-shaped cross section of the pivot pin and a matching profile of the attachment channel allow the utility tool to be installed or removed from the pivot pin.
