  • Publication number: 20140278598
Abstract: Caching travel options, in which a first request is received for lowest available fare data and, responsive to the first request, a determination is made that data for the lowest available fare is not included in a cache. Based on the determination, a request is provided to a core system for the data and the data for the lowest available fare is received from the core system. The received data is stored in the cache and used to respond to the first request. After storing, in the cache, the received data, a second request is received for the lowest available fare. Responsive to the second request, a determination is made that the data for the lowest available fare is included in the cache and, based on that determination, the data is accessed from the cache and used to respond to the second request.

  • Publication number: 20120123812
Abstract: Scarce resources, such as goods and/or services, can be allocated to customers according to score values associated with each customer that is a candidate to receive such resources in order to achieve an optimal allocation of resources, as determined by a business or other entity or organization that provides the goods and/or services. Each score value is generated automatically according to a set of predetermined rules based on profile information associated with the customer, including attributes of the customer, and based on information regarding goods and/or services purchased by the customer. A current context is used to determine an event and/or an event class, and the set of rules associated with the event or event class is used in generating the score value for one or more customers that are implicated by the current context, such as individuals affected by or eligible for the event.
