  • Patent number: 11977610
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for providing software provisioning of functionality in a wireless communications device. Software-enabling functionality may include systems for granting a license to intellectual property or other pre-embedded functionality within a device. Communications to and from the device may be used to send or receive activation messages and/or licensing messages. Network capabilities may be provisioned using activation messages sent over the network. Activation messages may be sent in-band or out-of-band, for a device connected to the Internet and/or a mobile operator core network. Licenses may be required for any functions or intellectual property present on a given device. Activation may enable logical modules of a system-on-chip (SOC), functions of a software-defined radio (SDR), baseband, or DSP core. The disclosed systems and methods could thereby provide a new, flexible paradigm, namely, “Silicon as a Service (SaaS).

  • Publication number: 20240131271
Abstract: A drive train for a wind-up injection device is described. The drive train includes a torsional energy storage adapted to be loaded or unloaded by a rotatable element, a rotatable user handle, a rotationally driveable expelling mechanism adapted to expel the liquid drug, and a clutch element coupled with the torsional energy storage via the rotatable element and including a ratchet for maintaining the rotatable element at one of a number of discrete angular positions against the torque of the torsional energy storage. The clutch element is adapted to transmit the torque from the user handle to the torsional energy storage, or alternatively from the torsional energy storage to the expelling mechanism. The ratchet is switchable from one position to an adjacent position by a torque transmitted from the user handle to the torsional energy storage. The drive train is adapted to dampen torque peaks visco-elastically and/or visco-frictionally.

  • Patent number: 11960832
Abstract: Machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other computer-implemented methods are used to identify various semantically important chunks in documents, automatically label them with appropriate datatypes and semantic roles, and use this enhanced information to assist authors and to support downstream processes. Chunk locations, datatypes, and semantic roles can often be automatically determined from what is here called “context”, to wit, the combination of their formatting, structure, and content; those of adjacent or nearby content; overall patterns of occurrence in a document, and similarities of all these things across documents (mainly but not exclusively among documents in the same document set).

  • Publication number: 20240115952
Abstract: Methods for managing non-player characters and power centers in a computer game are based on character hierarchies and individualized correspondences between each character's traits or rank and events that involve other non-player characters or objects. Players may share power centers, character hierarchies, non-player characters, and related quests involving the shared objects with other players playing separate and unrelated game instances over a computer network, with the outcome of the quests reflected in different the games. Various configurations of game machines are used to implement the methods.

  • Publication number: 20240119478
Abstract: Various examples are directed to computer-implemented systems and methods for providing a unique market offer code and validation. A method includes generating an offer customized for an intended recipient, and sending the offer electronically to the intended recipient. The method further includes receiving a user selection of the offer, and displaying a landing web page on a graphical user interface (GUI) of a user device. A user selection of an action button on the landing web page is received, and a validation web page is displayed on the GUI, the validation web page including prompts for input of user information. The user information is evaluated to determine authenticity of the offer and to confirm identity of the user as the intended recipient. Upon determining that the user is not approved for the offer, access is provided to the user to an additional offer tailored to the user.

  • Patent number: 11955213
Abstract: In clinical documentation, mere documentation of a condition in a patient's records may not be enough. To be considered sufficiently documented, the patient's record needs to show that no documentation drop-offs (DDOs) have occurred over the course of the patient's stay. However, DDOs can be extremely difficult to detect. To solve this problem, the invention trains time-sensitive deep learning (DL) models on a per condition basis using actual and/or synthetic patient data. Utilizing an ontology, grouped concepts can be generated on the fly from real-time hospital data and used to generate time-series data that can then be analyzed by trained time-sensitive DL models to determine whether a DDO for a condition has occurred during the stay. Non-time-sensitive models can be used to detect all the conditions documented during the stay. Outcomes from the models can be compared to determine whether to notify a user that a DDO has occurred.
