Patent number: 9720403Abstract: A process control method that automatically and comprehensively manages the creation, storage and use of electronic records during the operation of a controlled process and for governing and documenting the users that operate the computer systems that are involved in the creation, storage and use of the electronic records. The method controls a process, such as a chemical process, by receiving measurement information relating to the process, applying rules to the received measurement information to determine a desired response, and sending control information to at least one device associated with the process, so as to modify the process. The method maintains the rules, measurements and control activity in transaction logs or audit trails related thereto in a secure database.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2015Date of Patent: August 1, 2017Assignee: NYMBUS SYSTEMS CORPORATIONInventors: Michael A Power, Richard Kramer

Patent number: 8528920Abstract: An adjustment assembly includes first and second connection points associated with a component. The second connection point is selectively adjustable to adjust a position of the component. A shield has one end coupled to the first connection point and an opposite end proximate to the second connection point to selectively prevent access to the second connection point. The shield is selectively movable when the first connection point is loosened to allow access to the second connection point. To achieve proper adjustment of the component, the first connection point must be loosened prior to adjusting a position of the second connection point.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 2011Date of Patent: September 10, 2013Assignee: Arvinmeritor Technology, LLCInventors: Gustavo Vieira Borges, Robert J. Patent number: 4602248Abstract: The atmospheric pressure actuated alarm of the present invention comprises a pressure transducer which senses the atmospheric pressure and produces an electrical transducer signal in response thereto. A difference amplifier is connected to the pressure transducer for measuring the transducer signal and for producing an output signal whenever the transducer signal is of a magnitude outside a predetermined range. An operational amplifier is connected to the difference amplifier for amplifying the transducer signal. A latch is connected to the operational amplifier for receiving the amplified signal. A signal alarm and a power source are connected in series with the latch. The latch is changeable from an open condition to a closed condition in response to the amplified signal being greater than a predetermined magnitude. When the latch moves to the closed condition, it connects the power source to the alarm signal and causes actuation of the alarm signal.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 1985Date of Patent: July 22, 1986Inventors: Michael L.
