  • Patent number: 10473519
Abstract: A filter mask for use in a flow cytometer includes light blocking features and light passing apertures. The flow cytometer operates to evaluate one or more characteristics of a sample by illuminating the sample and a carrier fluid and collecting light rays that are radiated from the sample and the carrier fluid. The light rays are passed through the filter mask. The light blocking features of the filter mask are arranged to selectively block radiated light at certain radiation angles, while permit light rays having other radiation angles to pass therethrough. A sensor analyzer receives the light rays that pass through to evaluate at least one characteristic of the sample. The light rays can also be separated into two beams, which can be independently filtered using different filter masks. The results can then be compared to provide even more information regarding characteristics of the sample.

  • Publication number: 20190338968
Abstract: This application relates to a building energy analysis and management system for measurement and verification of building performance. The system can analyze, optimize, manage, maintain, trouble shoot, and/or modify building systems, such as HVAC systems, in connection with the building energy usage. Measurements may be gathered for one or more HVAC units coupled to pressure independent valves, and sent to one or more Surge Panels that pass data to remote analysis servers, which can receive other system or external data. The analysis servers compare measurements to predicted values and can standardize the predicted values to account for external conditions. The comparison can result in difference values used to generate probable causes and optimization recommendations. The system outputs reports or other data display using a graphical user interface that can be adjusted for an anticipated user.

  • Patent number: 10402173
Abstract: According to some embodiments, an Arbitrary Software Logic Modeling (“ASLM”) data source may store electronic records associated with units, each electronic record including a unit identifier, one or more identification tags, context data, unit parameters, unit variables, and internal logic. An ASLM platform may express system requirements at a logic block level and establish the logic blocks as self-contained entities and connections in accordance with the system requirements (the established logic blocks graphically representing systems logic). The ASLM platform may then explicitly transform the systems logic automatically to output language agnostic common design information exchange model information. The ASLM platform may also translate and maintain traceability among the system requirements, common design information exchange model information, and generated code.

  • Patent number: 10390458
Abstract: Liquid submersion cooling systems are described that use a cooling liquid, for example a dielectric cooling liquid, to submersion cool an array of electronic devices. In some embodiments described herein, rather than using pump pressure to return the cooling liquid back to a cooling liquid reservoir, gravity can be used to return the cooling liquid to a reservoir via a cooling liquid gravity return manifold, and a pump can only be used on the liquid supply side to deliver the cooling liquid to each electronic device.

  • Patent number: 10387318
Abstract: A processor includes a prefetcher that prefetches data in response to memory accesses, wherein each memory access has an associated memory access type (MAT) of a plurality of predetermined MATs. The processor also includes a table that holds scores that indicate effectiveness of the prefetcher to prefetch data with respect to the plurality of predetermined MATs. The prefetcher prefetches data in response to memory accesses at a level of aggressiveness based on the scores held in the table and the associated MATs of the memory accesses.

  • Patent number: 10390175
Abstract: A mobile wireless network and a method of operation provide tracking of mobile devices either in a passive mode or an active mode. In the passive mode, fault detection triggers generation of a case file associated with the device experiencing the fault. In the active mode, a user of the system can specify tracking mobile devices by sector or one or more mobile devices by identifier. Notifications can be generated in response to detection of a fault, or when a device enters a predetermined geographic region.

  • Publication number: 20190243947
Abstract: The improved detection of malicious processes executing on a networked computing device is provided. An agent running on the networked computing device monitors the communications transmitted to devices outside of the network to determine whether the process is likely using a periodic beacon signal to communicate with an external control center associated with a potentially malicious party. The agent maintains a dictionary data structure of objects, identifiable by the process identifier and the remote device's address, to track a given process/destination group's communication history. The communication history is updated when new messages are identified for periodic patterns to be identified for the messages, which may be used to identify a process as potentially malicious.
