  • Publication number: 20110186168
Abstract: A debris blocking device that may prevent grease and particular buildup inside the protective piping of a typical fusible link fire detection system. The debris blocking device has a shield with two surfaces. The one surface engages a protected object, while the other surface forms an area of the shield. The debris blocking device has an opening disposed within the area of the shield. The debris blocking device may engage a length of conduit, or piping that has an inside and an outside surface, and an open end. One surface of the debris blocking engages the inside surface of the open end of the conduit or pipe. This surface of the debris blocking device may also contain the opening that is capable of admitting an elongated component.

  • Patent number: 7983888
Abstract: Single hardware subsystems that present two software views that appear to be two separate hardware subsystems attached in a hierarchy are implemented with PCI arrangements. In an embodiment, a hardware arrangement is configured to emulate two virtually separate hierarchical subsystems in a single hardware block. This emulation facilitates the coupling of devices to PCI Express communications links while addressing PCI-Express linking requirements for such devices.

  • Publication number: 20110101662
Abstract: A gas generator comprising a housing having a mixing chamber and a pyrotechnic charge in the housing. A container having a liquid therein is disposed in the housing and has an open end and a closed end, with an end cap closing the open end and having a piston portion removably connected thereto and being movable within the liquid container to pressurize the liquid therein when the piston portion is separated from the end cap. The piston portion is positioned to be exposed to combustion gas from the pyrotechnic charge when it is ignited and is separable from the end cap when the combustion gas exceeds a predetermined pressure. In another embodiment, the liquid container may be a collapsible tube. • Patent number: 7878535
Abstract: An adaptive valve for an airbag inflator having a manifold with an exhaust opening for fluid communication with an airbag. The adaptive valve is constructed for connection to a manifold so that it is in fluid communication therewith. The adaptive valve has an exhaust orifice and is constructed to selectively open the exhaust orifice to divert inflation gas away from an inflator manifold when it is connected thereto to lower the rate of inflation of an airbag in fluid communication with the exhaust opening of the manifold. The adaptive valve may have a valve member movably mounted therein for movement between a first position wherein it closes the exhaust orifice and a second position wherein it opens the exhaust orifice. An initiator is provided in the adaptive valve to generate sufficient gas pressure to move the valve member to the first or second position.

  • Patent number: 7718092
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a thick film conductor composition comprised of (a) aluminum-containing powder; (b) amorphous silicon dioxide (c) and one or more optional glass frit compositions; dispersed in (d) organic medium. The amorphous silicon dioxide contributes to significant bow reduction tendency for solar cells thinner than 270 microns and larger than five inches square without significant effect on reducing the electrical performance of the fired solar cell. In addition and as preferred by solar cell manufacturers, the addition of glass frit reduces the dusting tendency of the aluminum thick film composition.

  • Publication number: 20100074391
Abstract: Disclosed are, inter alia, methods, apparatus, computer-storage media, mechanisms, and means associated with a shift register with a dynamic entry point, which may particularly useful for aligning skewed data. The dynamic entry shift register typically includes a series of storage elements, with multiplexers distributed between the storage elements. Each of the multiplexers is configured to select between: (a) the output signal of a previous storage element, and (b) the input signal. A control is configured to configure the multiplexers for a data signal applied as the input signal to induce an appropriate delay of the data signal as the output signal. The dynamic entry shift register can be scaled to accommodate a longer delay while still using only 2:1 multiplexers between stages in the dynamic entry shift register(s).

  • Patent number: 7681757
Abstract: A specially designed flexible tank is installed in a standard 20 foot overseas shipping container or in a standard trucking dry van trailer. A conductive heat serpentine plastic tubing system is also installed underneath the flexible tank allowing heat to liquefy the honey near the bottom discharge location. Nitrogen is introduced through an upper air purging valve and flow is controlled by a regulator allowing tank to stand and not be conducive to cling of product on the roof or the sidewalls and to assist in discharging product without need of a pumping mechanism. Due to the continued shape of the flexible tank there will be very little product loss allowing virtually all product to be expelled. The discharge valve will remain open when the heat is started and this allows the honey to be removed as quickly as it becomes liquid.
