  • Patent number: 10746268
Abstract: A gear nut adjustment assembly is provided that receives and powers an adjustable jaw assembly for purposes of making or breaking a tubular connection. The adjustable jaw assembly is capable of receiving pipes of various diameters through an automated means. In one example of an implementation of the invention, the gear nut adjustment assembly of the present invention includes a housing for mounting a nut assembly at one end and a motor at the other end. The housing includes a front and rear housing where the front housing has a mounting assembly for mounting a nut assembly. The nut assembly includes at its rear end a ring gear. The rear housing further includes a drive gear positioned in between the front and rear housing in engagement with the ring gear of the nut assembly. The drive gear is driven by the motor attached to the back of the rear housing and, through engagement with the ring gear on the nut assembly, rotates the nut assembly to adjust the jaws of the adjustable jaw assembly.

  • Publication number: 20150275599
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for spinning a tubular that includes a yoke having a first arm and a second arm outwardly extending in angular opposition from a central region defining a well for receiving a tubular. The yoke includes a center roller coupled to the central region of the yoke. Each arm includes an adjustable roller. Each arm further includes at least one rail for linearly translating the adjustable rollers to the arms to move toward and away from the central roller, where the rollers are detachably coupled to the arm.

  • Patent number: 7377718
Abstract: An automatic retractable delineator with a housing containing a reciprocating delineator post that reciprocates through an opening in the top surface of the housing. A raising and lowering mechanism is disposed inside the housing and is mechanically coupled to the post. The housing defines an inside cavity that is provided with positive pressure to create a pressure differential between the cavity and the atmosphere. As a result, the housing is substantially protected from the elements as the pressure differential prevents foreign objects and moisture such as dirt, salt, ice, snow or the like from entering the cavity.

  • Patent number: 4587458
Abstract: A vacuum furnace for the ionic surface treatment of workpieces in which the workpiece is connected as one of a pair of electrodes of opposite polarity, and in which a third electrode is located adjacent the workpiece and is connected to it at the same polarity and potential so as to be subject to the same current density as the workpiece, the current through the third electrode being used to indicate said workpiece current density and to control it.
