  • Publication number: 20170061036
Abstract: A single model engine for receiving and processing a 3D surface model representing the surface of a 3D object, the 3D surface model comprising at least two distinct surface regions associated with at least two different materials. The single model engine automatically produce a set of interior sheets inside the 3D surface model, the set of interior sheets defining interior boundaries and interior volumes of the different materials for the 3D object. The single model engine combines the 3D surface model with the set of interior sheets to produce a single unified model that represents the surface and interior volumes of the 3D object that comprise a single solid object having at least two different materials. At print time, the single model engine performs an export technique to produce an exportable form of the single unified model that can be received and printed by a 3D printer.

  • Publication number: 20170054779
Abstract: A media service server for streaming media items with similar media features receives a plurality of media items, where each media item of the plurality of media item is labeled with one or more media features characterizing the media item. Audio content features from the plurality of media items are extracted. Correlations between the audio content features and the media features are identified. A set of media items to be analyzed is received. For each media item of the set of media items, a set of media features based on the identified correlations between the audio content features and the plurality of media features is estimated. Each estimated media feature is associated with a confidence score. The set of media items with the estimated media features is provided to one or more experts for expert analysis.

  • Publication number: 20170047961
Abstract: A case for use with an electronic device includes a base portion with side portions extending therefrom forming a pocket. The case also includes a first material generally at an exterior of the pocket, forming a majority of an exterior surface of the base portion, and a second material secured to and having a higher coefficient of friction than the first material, generally at an interior of the pocket. The second material protrudes through aperture(s) in the first material at the base portion to protrude from the interior to the exterior of the base portion, and outward from the first material such that the second material contacts a support surface when the base portion is placed thereon. The protruding second material extends away from the aperture(s) on opposing surfaces of the first material at the exterior and interior of the pocket to provide securement between the first and second materials.

  • Publication number: 20170028643
Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a motion effect generator enables the creation of tangible representations of the motion of three-dimensional (3D) animated models for 3D printing. In operation, the motion effect generator receives a 3D animated model and animates the model through a configurable interval of time. As the motion effect generator animates the model, the motion effect generator applies a motion depiction technique to one or more selected components included in the model—explicitly portraying the motion of the 3D animated model as static motion effect geometries. Subsequently, based on the motion effect geometries, the motion effect generator creates a 3D motion sculpture model that is amenable to 3D printing.

  • Patent number: 9524473
Abstract: Various systems and methods provide an intuitive user interface that enables automatic specification of queries and constraints for analysis by ML component. Various implementations provide methodologies for automatically formulating machine learning (“ML”) and optimization queries. The automatic generation of ML and/or optimization queries can be configured to use examples to facilitate formulation of ML and optimization queries. One example method includes accepting input data specifying variables and data values associated with the variables. Within the input data any unspecified data records are identified, and a relationship between the variables specified in the input data and a variable associated with the at least one unspecified data record is automatically determined. The relationship can be automatically determined based on training data contained within the input data. Once a relationship is established a ML problem can be automatically generated.

  • Patent number: 9495641
Abstract: Systems and methods of searching for related data sets are provided. Multivariate data sets can be input as queries into a data set search engine. According to one embodiment, the input data set is automatically reduced to a set of best fit data models of minimum complexity that represent the data set. The data model is then compared to other data models to not only identify similarity between the models, but also to identify the particulars of why the data models are related. The search engine can be configured to return sets of data models as results from the search on the input data set. Results can be organized on data model type and/or information scores. Results can also be displayed graphically as a topographical map of nodes and edge. Each node can represent a data model and each edge can reflect the similarity between the nodes.
