Abstract: The invention provides a chewable gel dosage form that contains at least one active agent and a method of administering such chewable gel dosage form to subjects to treat one or more indications associated with the active agent(s). In one embodiment, the invention provides a method for the temporary relief of symptoms to due hay fever and upper respiratory allergies comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a chewable gel dosage form comprising a therapeutically effective amount of loratadine and a gelling agent, wherein therapeutic efficacy is achieved under fasted or fed conditions.
