  • Patent number: 9868045
Abstract: A device and method for regulating a pace of golf play. A golf course is divided into segments, with each segment assigned a time for completion by a user golfer group. Spaced apart signal lights are positioned on the golf course. Each golfer group is provided with a wireless positioning device. A computing device compares an elapsed time for completion of a number of segments with the total assigned time for the number of segments completed. The computing device wirelessly actuates a visual signal to the golfer group by a signal light on the golf course when the elapsed time for completion of the number of segments by the user golfer group is greater than the total assigned time for the number of segments completed. The device and method take into account impediments to pace of play that are outside of the golfer group's control.

  • Patent number: 9814390
Abstract: Insertable imaging devices, and methods of use thereof in minimally invasive medical procedures, are described. In some embodiments, insertable imaging devices are described that can be introduced and removed from an access port without disturbing or risking damage to internal tissue. In some embodiments, imaging devices are integrated into an access port, thereby allowing imaging of internal tissues within the vicinity of the access port, while, for example, enabling manipulation of surgical tools in the surgical field of interest. In other embodiments, imaging devices are integrated into an imaging sleeve that is insertable into an access port.

  • Publication number: 20170308588
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a searchable platform for online content. Online content may be obtained over a network. The online content may have existing metadata associated with the online content. The existing metadata may include platform information related to distribution of the online content through the online content distribution platform, file information related to an electronic file that defines the online content, and/or other information. The existing metadata associated with the online content may be processed such that the existing metadata is searchable. Supplemental metadata for the online content may be obtained. The supplemental metadata may be associated with the online content. The supplemental metadata may include one or more of platform information, file information, content information, contextual information, and/or other information. A search query may be received and a result may be generated based the existing metadata and/or the supplemental metadata.

The online content may be obtained and may include an individual online content. A clearance workflow for the individual online content may be identified. The clearance workflow may include an itemized representation of clearance items to be addressed for clearance of the individual online content. The clearance workflow may be stored in electronic storage. Fulfillment information indicating that one or more of the clearance items included in the clearance workflow has been addressed may be obtained. The fulfillment information may identify which of the one or more clearance items have been addressed. The clearance workflow stored in the electronic storage for the individual online content may be updated in a reoccurring or ongoing manner.

  • Publication number: 20170304007
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided in which devices that are employed during a medical procedure are adaptively configured during the medical procedure, based on input or feedback that is associated with the current state, phase or context of the medical procedure. In some example embodiments, the input is obtained via the identification of one or more medical instruments present within a region of interest, and this input may be employed to determine configuration parameters for configuring the device. In other example embodiments, the input may be based on the image-based detection of a measure associated with the phase or context of the medical procedure, and this input may be employed to adaptively control the device based on the inferred context or phase of the medical procedure. In other embodiments, images from one imaging modality may be employed to adaptively switch to another imaging modality.

  • Publication number: 20170308927
Abstract: Content segments to promote on an online platform may be identified. Metadata associated with the content segments may be obtained. The metadata may include information describing the content segments. The content segments may be available to consumers via a first online platform. Confidence scores associated with the individual content segments may be determined based upon the metadata. The confidence scores may quantify a likelihood of success to direct consumers to the individual content segments on the first online platform from the second online platform. One of the content segments may be selected to promote on a second online platform based upon the confidence scores. The system may distribute promotional content associated with the selected content segment via the second online platform.

  • Patent number: 9785560
Abstract: Computer-implemented systems, methods and apparatus are provided for rendering different scenes of an application. An application framework is provided that includes a scene controller and a scene cache pre-fetch module that stores at least some of the different scenes as cached scenes. When the scene controller receives a request for a new scene (e.g., to change the current active scene) it can determine whether that new scene is stored at the scene cache pre-fetch module. If so, the scene controller can load the cached scene directly from the scene cache pre-fetch module as a new active scene.
