  • Patent number: 10368290
Abstract: A method of cooperative communication link mapping and classification is provided. Location data are received defining a position of a communication node. Signal data of a communication link are monitored at the communication node with respect to a second communication node and characteristics of the signal data are identified. A location stamp of the position is applied to the characteristics of the signal data. The communication link is classified based on the characteristics of the signal data, and a map is populated classifying the communication link at the position indicated by the location stamp.

  • Publication number: 20190230820
Abstract: Particular embodiments described herein provide for an electronic device that can be configured to include a printed circuit board, where the printed circuit board has a first side and an opposite second side, a heat source located on the first side of the printed circuit board, a heatsink over the heat source, and one or more fasteners coupled to the heatsink. The one or more fasteners go through the printed circuit board and each of the one or more fasteners includes a printed circuit board securing area that extends along the second side of the printed circuit board to help secure the heatsink to the printed circuit board and create an applied load on the heat source. In an example, a thermal interface material layer less than about one hundred (100) micrometers in in thickness can be between the heat source and the heatsink.

  • Patent number: 10341648
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for performing automated analysis of frame-over-frame pixel changes in recorded video of the display output of a computing device to determine whether the computing device presented an animated buffering indicator or other animated problem indicator. A system may be configured to detect motion by determining frame-over-frame pixel intensity changes at various pixel locations across a number of frames, then to determine whether the pixel locations that suggest motion (such as those pixel locations that had sufficient intensity change when accounting for potential noise in the video data) are concentrated in an area of the screen in which problem indicators are expected to be displayed. The system may then determine whether the shape of the pixel locations that indicated sufficient motion match an expected shape or path of motion for a given class of problem indictors.

  • Publication number: 20190196119
Abstract: A fiber-optic connector ferrule body (10) that includes a depth that extends from a front end (12) to a rear end (14) of the ferrule. The ferrule includes a contact face (16) at the front end of the ferrule. The contact face includes a major dimension that extends along a major axis (X) defined by the contact face and a minor dimension that extends along a minor axis (Y) defined by the contact face. The major and minor axes are perpendicular to one another. The ferrule also defines alignment pin receivers (18) that extend rearwardly from the front end of the ferrule. The alignment pin receivers have tight-fit sections (26) that extend into the ferrule body from the contact face and flex sections (28) that extend from the first transverse cross-sectional shape to the rear end. The first and second transverse cross-sectional profiles define a degree of rotational flexibility between alignment pins (24) received in the alignment pin receivers (18) and the ferrule body (10).

  • Publication number: 20190045662
Abstract: In one aspect, an apparatus comprises a first housing and a second housing. The first housing comprises a surface to receive heat from a heat-generating component. The second housing comprising a receptacle in which to receive the first housing. The first housing is to nest within the receptacle. The receptacle inhibits movement of the first housing along a first axis and facilitates movement of the first housing along a second axis. The first housing is moveable within the receptacle along the second axis. Movement of the first housing along the second axis changes a size of a gap between the surface and the heat-generating component.
