  • Publication number: 20080062053
Abstract: An antenna arrangement (30) for a frequency modulated modulator that intentionally modulates and transmits a source signal to a frequency modulated radio receiver (28) in a vehicle can include a portable audio source (32 or 34), a frequency modulator (10) coupled to the audio source, a coaxial transmission line (23) coupled to the frequency modulator, and a frequency modulated antenna or coupler (24) coupled to the coaxial transmission line where the coaxial transmission line is of sufficient length to enable the placement of the coupler substantially close to a frequency modulated radio receive antenna (26) coupled to the frequency modulated radio receiver in the vehicle. The portable audio source and the frequency modulator can be co-located in a single unit. The portable audio source can be a satellite radio receiver or a portable digital music player and recording device.

  • Publication number: 20060226975
Abstract: A device locating system includes an activator with activator circuitry, and a device locating arrangement with removable device locating circuitry contained therein. The activator circuitry includes a power source, control logic, a user interface, a transceiver, and an antenna. The control logic is configured to receive input from the user interface, and to cause the transceiver to send a signal upon associated input from the user interface. The activator circuitry can include an audio indicator and/or a visual indicator. The device locating circuitry includes a power source, memory, a processor, a voltage regulator, a transceiver, and an antenna. The processor is configured to receive and process signals, and cause the transceiver to send a receipt signal upon receiving a signal from the activator. The device locating circuitry can include an audio indicator and/or a visual indicator. The device locating circuitry can be configured in the form of a battery.

  • Publication number: 20040192443
Abstract: Amusement device communication system includes a communication link, a first amusement device and a second amusement device. The communication link has a communication medium and a power line communication subsystem. The first amusement device has a video touchscreen, and the second amusement device has a controller and a memory. The second amusement device is coupled to the first amusement device by the communication link, and the first amusement device communicates with the second amusement device using the communication medium. The power line communication sub-system includes a local power grid and first and second power line adapters. The local power grid is configured to supply electrical power to local devices. The first power line adapter is coupled between the first amusement device and the local power grid. The first adapter superimposes communication signals onto the local power grid and decodes superimposed communication signals from the local power grid.
