  • Patent number: 4846251
Abstract: In an apparatus for the transportation of horizontally split, boxless sand casting molds (1) for foundry purposes, from a molding station via a casting station to the knocking-out point by means of a series of transport plates (5, 50) which are guided one against the other along a track and whose length in each case, in the direction of transport, is equal to or only slightly larger than the corresponding length of the casting mold placed on top in each case, each transport plate (5, 50) has, at least at one of its ends, preferably the end facing away from the molding station, a face strip (6) arranged substantially vertical to it and directed upward, which prevents an offset between transport plate and casting mold.

  • Patent number: 4537238
Abstract: The invention discloses a molding machine for making flaskless molds, which has a minimum of structural component groups and units as well as of control devices and adjusting elements. The machine frame is embodied by a closed, symmetrical frame including hollow side parts which receive the pourable molding material and simultaneously perform the functions of tie rods and guidance for the molding flasks. Molding sand blowing-in openings are disposed on the inner walls of the side parts, and the openings are controlled by molding sand openings in the molding flasks in the manner of a valve slide.

  • Patent number: 4442882
Abstract: A plurality of molding boxes having a common center line are disposed in an aligned manner in a horizontal guideway located, in the direction in which pressure is exerted and expulsion is effected, between a pressure piston and an outwardly pivotable pressing device and the molding devices are displaceable in the guideway. One pattern carrier plate is provided between each of the individual molding boxes, and the pattern carrier plates can be moved in and out when the molding boxes are apart. A tilting device is disposed at the outlet of the machine, which selectively either allows pressed mold bodies to pass by it with the position of their seams unchanged, or tilts the mold bodies, pressed in pairs, by an angle of 90.degree..
