  • Patent number: 10374995
Abstract: As is disclosed herein, user behavior in connection with a number of electronic messages, such as electronic mail (email) messages, can be used to automatically learn from, and predict, whether a message is wanted or unwanted by the user, where an unwanted message is referred to herein as gray spam. A gray spam predictor is personalized for a given user in vertical learning that uses the user's electronic message behavior and horizontal learning that uses other users' message behavior. The gray spam predictor can be used to predict whether a new message for the user is, or is not, gray spam. A confidence in a prediction may be used in determining the disposition of the message, such as and without limitation placing the message in a spam folder, a gray spam folder and/or requesting input from the user regarding the disposition of the message, for example.

  • Publication number: 20140282092
Abstract: In embodiments, apparatuses, methods and storage media (transitory and non-transitory) are described that are associated with contextual information interfaces. In various embodiments, a contextual information interface may be presented in association with a media content on a display. In various embodiments, contemporaneously with the presentation of the contextual information interface, information pertinent to the media content and/or a source of the media content may be obtained from a remote computing device. In various embodiments, one or more selectable elements may be selectively rendered, as part of the contextual information interface, based on the obtained information. In various embodiments, the one or more selectable elements may be operable to cause a computing device to present on the display one or more other media contents pertinent to the media content and/or the source of the media content.

  • Publication number: 20140282250
Abstract: In embodiments, apparatuses, methods and storage media are described that are associated with menu interfaces for media source and content navigation. In embodiments, a menu interface may be selectively rendered. In various embodiments, the selective rendering may include selectively rendering a first scrollable arrangement of selectable elements disposed along a first axis to represent sources of media content; and selectively rendering a second scrollable arrangement of selectable elements to represent media contents available from only a selected one of the sources of media content and not unselected ones of the sources of media content, wherein the second scrollable arrangement of selectable elements is disposed along a second axis that extends from the first axis.

  • Patent number: 8101784
Abstract: A process and an apparatus separate a volatile component from a substance mixture (raw product). The substance mixture is heated, the volatile component is at least partly evaporated and then the vapor formed is condensed. To improve the separating action, the condensate, in the region of the point of condensation, is contacted with a liquid in which the condensate dissolves.

  • Patent number: 6037951
Abstract: A graphics device includes first and second endpoint memories where coordinates of a line can be stored. State logic within the graphics device calculates line parameters from the first and second endpoints. The calculated line parameters include a line error term which can be stored in an error term memory. The error term memory is writeable from a source external to the graphics device, such as the CPU of a computer system, so that the external source can modify the contents of the error term register.
