Abstract: The invention relates to method and system for using PKCS and especially PKCS#10 registration standard on a mobile environment and in particularly in a WPKI (Wireless PKI) environment comprising a registration server and a client provided with a key pair is provided only with a part of the certificate request info defined on the PKCS registration standard. A PKCS registration structure is formed by the client of said part of the certificate request info and the public key to be registered, after which a verifying code is determined using at least part of said formed PKCS registration structure. Finally said verifying code and the public key are delivered to the registration server advantageously without delivering said part of the certificate request info received at first by the client.

Abstract: The invention relates to method and system for a secure PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) key registration process in a WPKI (Wireless PKI) environment comprising a registration server and client provided with a key pair. Especially the invention relates to a registration method, where a registration request for a public key of the key pair is formed using second and only part of the first information provided to a client in separated communication connections. The formed registration request comprising the public key is then provided with a verifying code determined over the request to the registration server in order to register the public key.

Abstract: A method of transmitting a transport stream over an IEEE 1394 Serial Bus comprising stripping out of the transport stream identifiable unrequired data so as to reduce the bandwidth of the transport stream, a digital multi-media receiver for transmitting a transport stream to a Conditional Access Module on an IEEE 1394 Serial Bus including a reader for reading the contents of the transport stream and identifying data which is not required for processing by a Conditional Access Module, a stripper for stripping out at least some of the identified unrequired data from the transport stream and a transmitter for transmitting all of the remaining data of the transport stream which has not been stripped and a network of digital multi-media devices connected by means of an IEEE 1394 Serial Bus whereby a first device sends such a stripped transport stream to a second device over the IEEE 1394 Serial Bus.
