  • Publication number: 20140012404
Abstract: A system for determining a cut location for a machine implement is disclosed. The system may have one or more memories that store instructions and one or more processors that are capable of executing the instructions. The one or more processors may be configured to select a first potential cut location for a machine implement to begin modifying a work surface, and determine a profile extending from the selected first cut location to an end location along which the machine implement will travel to modify the work surface. The one or more processors may be further configured to calculate a volume of material that will be moved by the machine implement as it travels along the profile, and select, based on the calculated volume of material, a second potential cut location for the machine implement to begin modifying the work surface.

  • Publication number: 20130173109
Abstract: A method is disclosed for recalibrating a vehicle model used to autonomously control a machine on a worksite, with a calibration system including at least one processor. In the method at least one recalibration condition is determined for which recalibration of the vehicle model is to occur. Time information, location information, and testing condition information are determined for the at least one recalibration condition. The time information includes a determination of a time when recalibration is to be performed. The location information includes a determination of a location suitable for performing the recalibration. The testing condition information includes a determination of a testing condition to be used during the recalibration.

  • Patent number: 8389915
Abstract: The present document describes a cooking container for foodstuff in the form of a pouch made of a microwaveable heat-sealable polyester film. The polyester film comprises micro-perforations allowing controlled respiration of the film while maintaining atmospheric pressure inside the pouch.

  • Publication number: 20130000092
Abstract: A method of calibrating a vehicle model is disclosed. A machine is autonomously controlled based on the vehicle model to perform an operation at a worksite. During performance of the operation, at least one condition is identified for which the vehicle model is to be calibrated. Machine performance of the operation is determined during the at least one condition. The vehicle model is selectively adjusted based on the determination.

  • Publication number: 20120173185
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for evaluating calibration data collected by a range sensor of a mobile machine on a site includes collecting a calibration data set using the range sensor. The calibration data set includes information indicating the locations of a plurality of points on a surface of the site relative to the range sensor. The method further includes determining an expected error score of the calibration data set. Finally, the method includes determining whether to use the calibration data set to calibrate the range sensor based on the expected error score.
