  • Patent number: 8151506
Abstract: The unloading tool of the present invention includes a tube having a breech end and a distal end. The unloading tool may have threads at the breech end of the tube for releasably engaging a breech of a firearm so as to facilitate the removal and reloading of powder with respect to the breech. The present invention further encompasses a method for unloading powder from the breech of firearm including the steps of securing a breech end of a tubular unloading tool to a breech of the firearm and tilting the firearm to remove powder from the breech and into the unloading tool.

  • Publication number: 20080010224
Abstract: A segregated area for the storage of regulated goods is subleased or otherwise acquired from the operator of a warehouse that is used to store unregulated goods. The segregated area can be manned with support personnel, and appropriately isolated or otherwise separated from the remainder of the host warehouse in accordance with applicable regulations. Upon receipt of a purchase order, regulated goods are transported, ideally along with unregulated goods, to a third party purchaser. Legal custody and control of such regulated goods is not transferred until such regulated goods are actually delivered to the ultimate purchaser.

  • Publication number: 20070278828
Abstract: An A-pillar for a motor vehicle running from a vehicle roof in the direction of a vehicle floor and having a curved profile over at least one longitudinal section, has an essentially solid circumferential surface and is of essentially hollow configuration in an inner region. The A-pillar in its curved longitudinal section has a reinforcement strut which passes through a hollow cross section of the A-pillar. The reinforcement strut runs from a rear wall region of the A-pillar to a front wall region. The reinforcement strut may have an elliptical or a circular recess along an upper and a lower boundary line. The A-pillar thus achieves high strength at reduced weight.

  • Publication number: 20060103169
Abstract: The invention relates to a tunnel bridge (1) of a motor vehicle with a support structure (4) featuring at least two side parts (2, 3) and ribs (5) at least at the side parts (2, 3) in which the tunnel bridge (1) is adapted to be connected to the body and/or beams (6, 7) of the motor vehicle. For the known tunnel bridges this would be detrimental. A significant improvement is achieved by a tunnel bridge (1) which is constituted as one piece made from a cast material together with the associated side parts (2, 3) and/or the connecting parts for the connection to the body and that the ribs (5) are located at the side parts (2, 3) and/or on a tunnel bridge part (8) which connects the side parts (2, 3).

  • Patent number: 7000977
Abstract: A slidable and hinged door, e.g., in a motor vehicle, in which the door is displaceable from the plane of a door opening by at least one swivel arm developed as a double hinge, and, for the sliding function, is displaceable into a plane arranged in front of it that is approximately parallel to it and is slidable in the plane arranged in front of it by a parallel guidance, may be simple to handle and to be operated by motor, at the same time as having a simple arrangement from a construction point of view. The swiveling motions and/or the swiveling possibilities for the operation of the door are able to be activated or determined within the double hinge by servomotors engaging at the first and the second hinge of the double hinge.

  • Patent number: 5277529
Abstract: The invention relates to a sensor-system for metal workpieces, especially cast components (casting cleansing), and a cutting sensor for its implementation, and is intended to improve deburring quality rationally and effectively. To this end, relatively coarse burrs are cut off to a predetermined height and the remaining burrs and also the relatively small ones are removed by sensor control in a single pass by a combined tool having sensor cutter and a burr pre-cutter.

  • Patent number: 4859896
Abstract: A piezoelectric precision positioning device for moving an object in three coordinate directions is described, comprising(a) an at least approximately plane-parallel cut piezoelectric disk (5),(b) an electrode arrangement (6, 7, 8, 17), provided with electrical connections (9, 10, 11, 18), on the surfaces parallel to each other, with which three independently controllable electrical fields in the piezoelectric disk (5) can be adjusted,(c) a fork-shaped clamping device (1, 2) which embraces the piezoelectric disk (5), in an electrically insulated manner with respect to the electrode arrangement (6, 7, 8, 17), at at least three pressure points (13, 14, 15, 16), which are situated symmetrically with respect to each other, on the circumferential surface such that(d) one of the electrodes (8) is situated in the open part of the fork-shaped clamping device (1, 2), in which case(e) the object (19) to be positioned is arranged in an electrically insulated manner on an electrode surface (17) in the field region of thi
