When infiltrated, the void volume of the macro-porosity is filled with infiltrant Optionally, the void volume may be varied across the profile of the object to create a gradient of mechanical properties in the infiltrated object.

Abstract: A method for forming a self-leveling floor includes: positioning an edging form on or adjacent to a subfloor so as to at least partially bound an area on which a self-leveling floor is to be formed, the edging form including: a body having a top face, a bottom face and a first side face that extends between the top face and the bottom face; and a plurality of spaced apart channels extending entirely through the body from the top face to the bottom face, each of the plurality of channels also passing through at least a portion of the first side face. A self-leveling flooring material is dispensed into the area in which the self-leveling floor is to be formed so that the self-leveling flooring material flows against the first side face of the body and into each of the plurality of channels.

Abstract: A method of echo cancellation in hands-free communication is disclosed. The method includes: receiving, via a receive signal processor, a far-end audio signal; providing the far-end audio signal to: an acoustic echo canceller module as a reference signal, and at least one loudspeaker for playback; determining an external gain value associated with the far-end audio signal, the external gain applied to the far-end audio signal downstream of the receive signal processor and prior to playback from the at least one loudspeaker; adjusting at least one parameter of the acoustic echo canceller module based on the external gain value; receiving playback output of the far-end audio signal from the at least one loudspeaker as an input signal to a microphone; and processing the microphone input signal by the adjusted acoustic echo canceller module to produce an echo-cancelled signal.

The brace assembly comprises a brace rod, an anchor member defining an anchor member recess, and a brace nut. The actuator assembly comprises an actuator housing defining an actuator housing opening and a drive member defining a drive member opening. The drive plate defines a drive plate recess. The anchor member acts on the structural member and the brace nut acts on the actuator assembly. Operation of the actuator assembly displaces the drive plate. Displacement of the drive plate displaces the bushing assembly into the housing opening.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method comprises obtaining first data comprising a first collection of coordinate data representing a position, or positions, of a first group of one or more objects detected in a first frame of a scene and obtaining second data comprising a second collection of coordinate data representing a position, or positions, of a second group of one or more objects detected in a second frame of the scene, wherein the second frame represents a different view of the scene than the first frame. The method further comprises determining whether any of the first group of objects correspond to any of the second group of objects in the scene based on the first collection of coordinate data and the second collection of coordinate data, wherein the first frame and the second frame are obtained from image data captured from a single camera position.

Abstract: A casing half shell for a turbine system, a steam turbine system and related method are provided. The casing half shell includes a body having an open interior for enclosing parts of the turbine system; a first inlet in the body for delivering a first working fluid flow into the open interior in a first direction; and a second inlet in the body for delivering a second working fluid flow into the open interior in a second direction that is opposed to the first direction. A working fluid dam extends radially and axially in the body between the first inlet and the second inlet, the working fluid dam includes a stress-mitigating slot extending radially therein. A fill member may be mounted in the stress-mitigating slot to provide full functioning of the working fluid dam.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are directed to the use of nanoparticles for improving strength fabrication of three-dimensional objects formed through layer-by-layer process in which an ink is delivery of a binder delivered onto successive layers of a powder of inorganic particles in a powder bed. More specifically, nanoparticles of inorganic material can may be introduced into one or more layers of the metal powder in the powder bed and thermally processed to facilitate sinter necking, in the powder bed, of the metal particles forming the three-dimensional object. Such sinter necking in the powder bed can may improve strength of the three-dimensional objects being fabricated and, also or instead, can may reduce the likelihood of defects associated with subsequent processing of the three-dimensional objects (e.g., slumping and shrinking in a final sintering stage and/or inadequate densification of the final part).

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for replacing a canceled accommodation for a guest user using reserved accommodations. In an embodiment, an accommodation management system retrieves information describing historical bookings and listings for accommodations in a region. The system determines common attributes of the listings and a historical cancelation rate of bookings. The system determines an amount of listings to reserve for a time period based on the historical cancelation rate and moves, from an available listing database to a reserved listing database, the amount of listings for the region, each listing including common attributes. The system sends an indication to each host user of the moved listings that the listing has become unavailable for the time period. The system receives an indication that a booking for a guest user has been canceled and books one of the listings in the reserved listing database for the guest user.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for replacing an accommodation of a canceled booking for a guest user. In an embodiment, an accommodation management system receives, from a homestay application, an indication that a booking for the accommodation in a region by the guest user over a time period has been canceled. The system retrieves a homestay listing associated with the booking and retrieves attributes of the homestay listing. The system maps each attribute to a set of similar attributes in an equivalence table. The system retrieves a set of available hotel listings in the region for the same time period and determines attributes of each available hotel listing. The system determines a set of comparable hotel listings that each include similar attributes to the homestay listing and sends a command to book a comparable hotel listing the guest user during the time period.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for replacing a listing of a canceled booking for a guest user. In an embodiment, an accommodation management system receives an indication that a booking by the guest user has been canceled. The system retrieves, from an attribute database, attributes of the canceled listing and maps each attribute to a set of similar attributes in an equivalence table. The system retrieves, from a listing database, a set of comparable listings, each of which includes one or more of the mapped similar attributes and available during the same time period as the canceled booking. The system books one of the comparable listings for the guest user during the time period by populating a booking data structure with a connection between the comparable listing and the guest user.

A condition can be satisfied by a user acknowledging the alarm when the alarm is going off, or causing the alarm to be dismissed prior to a time at which the alarm was scheduled for. The user can cause the alarm to be dismissed pre-emptively by interacting with the automated assistant prior to the time the alarm was scheduled for and/or interacting with a device, which is known to the automated assistant, prior to the time that the alarm was scheduled for. In this way, actions that cause an alarm to be dismissed can be recognized and used to initialize other processes, such as an automated assistant routine, thereby reducing a number of inputs needed from a user.
