In one aspect, a method includes receiving an input indicating a request for assistance for an issue occurring in a video game. The method also includes determining a category associated with the request for assistance. The method also includes determining whether a score associated with a second-user for the category satisfies a threshold score and adding the second-user to a set of second-users in response to the score satisfying the threshold score. The method also includes selecting a first second-user from the set of second-users. The method also includes initiating a communication channel between the first user and the first second-user. The method also includes transferring messages between the first user and the first second-user. The method also includes generating a quality score for the request for assistance based on messages transferred between the first user and the first second-user.

Requesters and responders are matched via an auction type system, where requesters with the best requester scores are matched with requesters with the best responder scores. The requester scores can be boosted while the requester is waiting for a response if the requester performs certain actions. The requester score and responder score can increase over time. The requester score and responder score can also be based on other variables.
