  • Patent number: 11313147
Abstract: A modular fence unit integrates a base, a pair of end posts extending through slots formed in the base, and a fence panel design resting above the base between the pair of end posts. A tongue and groove combination provides the joint used to situate the fence panel design between the posts. The joint enables the fence panels to be releasably attachable to the end posts. The fence unit can incorporate a single panel, multiple vertically-oriented panels arranged horizontally, or multiple horizontally-oriented panels arranged vertically. The base includes an interior compartment space capable of holding fluid, such as liquid, to enable the base to serve as stabilizing ballast.

  • Patent number: 10638727
Abstract: A bird bath includes a base and a removable basin mounted to the base. The base includes a hollow interior space that accommodates ballast material. A threaded joint facilitates a removable connection between the basin and base. The base is configured with one of a threaded male and female fastener formation at its upper end, while the basin is configured with the other of the threaded male and female fastener formation at its lower end. A threaded engagement between the male and female fastener formations is effective in mounting the basin to the base. A removable plug insert can be used to isolate the basin reservoir from the ballast-receiving interior space of the base.

  • Publication number: 20100006112
Abstract: Provided is a cigarette filter and method of making the filter. The filter includes an adsorbent dispersed within the filter and a downstream plug of randomly-oriented fibers. The randomly-oriented fibers mechanically capture adsorbent particles entrained in tobacco smoke. One or more plugs of axially-oriented fibers may also be located upstream and/or downstream of the adsorbent, and are included in an amount sufficient to adjust the length of the filter.

  • Patent number: 7624740
Abstract: A tobacco curing enclosure includes roof vents, sidewall fan assemblies with heaters, a humidity augmentation system, and internal air circulation devices. Internal temperature and humidity monitors are connected with a control system for the fans, vents, heaters, humidity augmentation system and air circulation devices. The control system in conjunction with the enclosure allows humidity inside the enclosure to be controlled according to a predetermined schedule despite the ambient weather conditions, thereby enhancing the quality of cured tobacco.
