  • Publication number: 20210285409
Abstract: A fuel pump includes an electric motor, a pump stage and a motor housing with a plastic section that holds a stator of the electric motor. The plastic section has a rim on the side facing the pump housing, when seen from the stator. A sheet metal sheath engages behind a rim of the motor housing and a rim of the pump housing by rolled portions so as to permit the fuel pump to be produced cost-effectively.

  • Publication number: 20200256296
Abstract: A fuel pump includes: an electric motor; a pump stage drivable by the electric motor; a fuel pump housing configured to accommodate the electric motor and the pump stage; and a bracket configured to fasten the fuel pump to a wall. The fuel pump housing includes a plastic first housing part configured to accommodate at least one selected from the group of the electric motor and the pump stage. The first housing part is configured as a single piece with the bracket, the bracket being integral with the first housing part.

  • Patent number: 7543570
Abstract: In a feed unit for feeding fuel to an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle, inductors are arranged on the outer side of a housing component of an electric motor. The inductors are fabricated in one piece with connecting lines and have a large line cross section and therefore a particularly small voltage drop. The housing component is of particularly compact design.

  • Patent number: 7362029
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel pump which comprises an electric motor. Said electric motor is provided with carbon brushes (11) that cover a plurality of lamellae (17) of a collector (9). Grooves (7) in an armature (6) include sections of a plurality of coils (8), thereby particularly reducing erosion of the carbon brushes (11).

  • Patent number: 6848430
Abstract: In a fuel feed unit, a pump holder has a plurality of sheet-metal strips for limiting the transmission of structured-borne sound from a fuel pump to an anti-surge pot. The sheet-metal strips can be manufactured cost-effectively and adapted to the particular fuel pump. This enables the fuel feed unit to be manufactured particularly cost-effectively.

  • Patent number: 6548930
Abstract: An electric motor for a fuel pump wherein fuel flows through the pump, includes spring elements provided for holding magnetic shells in the stator have a face which points toward a rotor and is flush with the magnetic shells. Turbulence in the flow of the fuel within the electric motor are thereby kept particularly low. The pressure loss during the flow through the electric motor thus becomes lower. The pump according to the invention consequently has high efficiency.
